Buy This Sweet 1978 Ford Bronco and Change the Wheels, Please

Please

You’ll find two schools of thought when it comes to putting a modern set of wheels on a classic Ford truck these days – people that either love the look, or they head to the comments section and talk about how the truck is completely ruined.  There’s simply no in between.

However, some of us try to look past the questionable choice of rolling stock made by some folks, and see the rest of the truck. Because hey, how hard is it to change out a set of wheels and tires? It’s the other stuff – the paint, body, mechanical reliability, etc., that matters more, and is much harder and expensive to fix.

Please

Having said that, I present to you this 1978 Bronco.  If you can please look past the super modern wheels, you’ll find a pretty darn nice truck that deserves to be saved. With a really nice blue paint job, shiny chrome, trim, and a mostly untouched exterior, it looks to be in excellent shape.

Please

Plus, it’s got a 460 block under the hood, one that looks to have a few performance goodies bolted to it. You can clearly see the long tube headers, an aluminum radiator, and an aftermarket carb and intake. The suspension appears to have received quite a few upgrades as well.

Please

Before you immediately dismiss a truck just because it has a set of wheels you don’t like, try to look a little bit beneath the surface. Even if you go old-school and use a tire iron, it’s not like it’s hard to remove them.  Heck, NASCAR pit crews do it in seconds. Instead, whip out your wallet and please do the right thing – save an old Bronco today!
