1968 ICON Bronco is Simply the Best of the Best
If you’re not familiar with ICON and what they do, the premise is simple—they build extremely limited, really expensive, unquestionably capable, and obsessively detailed vintage 4×4’s. In other words, the best of the best. This is one of their amazing creations!
After cutting their teeth on Land Rovers and Toyota FJ’s, ICON has moved on to build some pretty awesome first-generation Broncos.
The waiting list to get one of these bejeweled Broncos is long (currently around 3 years), but this white, 1968 example has recently popped up for sale. This one is a bit different from the rest, as it features a custom interior with such fancy things as German square weave carpeting, and diamond perforated Italian leather seats.
Everywhere you look you’ll find things like U.S. hardened steel, stainless steel, and CNC’d aluminum. The chassis is a custom Art Morrison with Fox Racing coil overs, Brembo brakes, Dana axles, ARB locking diffs, and other various high-end goodies.
Power comes from a crate Coyote 5.0 backed up by an Aisin-Warner five speed transmission. All lights are LEDs, and even the soft top has received an incredible level of attention – it features distressed canvas on the exterior, with a layer of insulation in between a secondary top underneath.
So if you want the best of the best and ultimate Bronco, and don’t want to wait three years to get one, here’s your chance to take it home today. The catch, of course, is that it’s going to cost you – a lot. Bidding is up to $242,500 at the moment, and the reserve hasn’t even been met.
