I have the inner fenders off and there are 2 nuts attached to the ends. One nut on each fender is stripped out front and forward. Pics are only of one side. Since I have them off I wanted to take the nuts off and spot weld a new ones in their place.
I don’t see how they are attached and have considered breaker bar, chisel and grinder. The metal is thin
I think chisel will do to much damage, I would prefer to grind the nuts flat / gone, then go to McMaster-Carr or local hardware store and get some appropriate sized weld nuts and tack weld them in place. But that just me.
Or if the metal is thick enough, weld the nut closed and drill and re-tap?
