F-450 - 2027 vs. 2028?
I know this is an age-old question, but please humor me. Since joining this forum about 10 months ago, I've "cried wolf" more than once about ordering a new F-450. This time, though, the purchase may actually be happening.
The only wrinkle is timing. I don't need the truck immediately, but I also wouldn't want delivery to slip much beyond the fall of 2027.
That leaves me with one major decision: place an order now, relatively early in the 2027 model-year order cycle, or wait for the 2028 order banks to open and accept the later delivery timeline that comes with it.
I don't particularly care what model year is printed on the title, but I'd definitely be kicking myself if I ordered a 2027 and then Ford introduced a major new feature or improvement for 2028 that I would have wanted.
It may be too early for anyone to have reliable insight into 2028 changes, but I'd love to hear any rumors, speculation, or industry chatter that might be circulating. I haven't been very active here lately, so it's entirely possible I've missed something.
