not a show truck.my daily worker/primary tree service chip and wood hauling truck.she doesn't normally look so clean no lol.
It has been a while sence Ive been on the forum and here is my new project. I bought this truck for $2000 and a colt 1911 earlier this year after my black truck got run off of the road by a tow truck. the red truck had a 7.3l, ZF5, banks sidewinder, 4" turbo back exhaust when i bought it, big plus! At first glance the black truck seemed fine but it had some prety serious body damage the cab was cracked right behind the doors across the cab the bed was bent all the way across. and soon after it gave up the water pump and it had very low oil pressure. So I decided to make the ol' black truck the parts truck. I took the D60 off and the lift and pulled the engine for full rebuild. Added the D60, lift, and tires to the red 90 250 so here she is hope you guys enjoy. I will post more pics soon.
looks like a fun truck!
still need to swap out from the 2" to the 4" rear leaf pack block to make up for the D60 front axle though it looks like?
that's a heck of a deal with a banks turbo all installed! they gave the truck away.

Yeah it has 6" lift springs in the front and the a 6" block in the rear but I think it needs another inch to make it totally level it is sitting on a slope so it looks worse than it really is. he had records of every oil change and maintenance done on it sence 01, when I got to looking into it it only had 8000 miles on the turbo I was stoked!!!
ouch! you just have to feel a little bad for the guy (but not too bad lol) for buying a brand new? banks turbo for a few grand, and just putting two oil changes on the truck since.he never even got to get used to the new power yet.why did he sell? fuel prices killing him maybe? or just bought a new truck?
either way,you sure made out like a bandit.
and a NICE boost in fuel economy, reduced effort of the fuel pedal to go down the road (feels more powerful) and greatly reduced road noise!
i hate driving the truck without it now.air sure prefers to go around rather than under all the undercarriage mess (and that's with my slow granny driving 45 mph to 55mph max speeds.faster driving would yield even larger gains!)
i just flipped my license plate up around the other way,so all the holes in my (94-97 psd) bumper are plugged now too.now iv got the style i like, but with lights/plugged for the same wind resistance as a solid.
don't put it off any longer.you'll kick yourself for it like i did.they're easy as pie to make.mines just a flattened (run over it with my dually lol) 92-97 super cab running board with garden edge screwed to the bottom,so it's just a hair under my front axle (lowest undercarriage point.)
Here's my baby (AKA BIGMAC) It's a 91 350 7.3 just shy of 300k mile. 37 Mud grapplers wrapped around some mickey thompsons. Soon to be lifted, painted, and turbofied. (I cant wait)
