I spent a little while this afternoon prepping, or trying to prep some stuff for the "engine build". Tried cleaning up the walker y-pipe with no real avail. So I went to sealing up the extra space on my heated carb spacer. I think it came out pretty nice.

I am assuming you are asking about the filling, and not the heated spacer. If you don't fill that gap, the gasket that sits between will not seal, and it will cause one heck of a vac. leak.
I'm sure you already know this, but I'll say it in case you don't: When you time that dude, stand on a piece of wood, and wear rubber gloves. Nope, I'm not kidding. Also, it's a VERY good idea to hook your light to a 12v source on a different vehicle. The battery powered lights are preferable.
My MSD bit the heck out of me, and I don't want to taste my fillings again. And that was with the induction type light.
Curious, what cam are you using? Head work? Pistons?
I have plans for the comp cam 260h I want to say, and the standard port and polish. Nothing special. I plan to do this in a two part process. Obviously not the ideal way to do it. There have been plenty of guys that have done both the first stage and second stage, but they either just did stage one or did both at the same time. I am curious to know how much of a difference each one makes. If I wasn't doing a good amount of body work and what-not at the same time, I would probably be doing the whole deal at once. Money don't grow on tree's though, as they say. I do remember you mentioning that about the rubber gloves and a piece of wood, and have not forgotten, haha.
The talk about getting zapped by the H.E.I. brought to mind a movie scene (Dirty Harry maybe?) where the the front hood is open and the engine is running and the bad guy's head is forced over the engine and the good guy pokes a spark plug wire into the bad guy's ear.

As I remember the engine never skipped a beat!
Thanks. That image made my day better. Now go torture the cat.
I am certainly looking forward to every bit of it. I look forward to the rust"less" body almost as much as the added power. And...I think that is how I will adjust the timing. Rubber gloves, and cat in hands.
