I've decided to get rid of my old '83. I recently heard scrap prices are really up now so instead of fixing it I think I'll just scrap it. So I think we should swap some parts like my rust free bed, what do you think?

I wouldn't be opposed in the slightest Justin. Did you say rust-free?! I think the majority of my truck has some sort of rot on it. Pretty much every panel, including the driver's side rocker/floor.

In that case come take a look and maybe do a body swap. I have a new fender on the drivers side and I had fixed the rockers. I had planned to take the bed off to fix the cab corners when the project stalled. Yes the bed is basically rust free ( it had a couple of rust spots that I fixed just forward of the end of the bed) it had a cap on it since the truck was two weeks old.

Now I figured the truck needs $1200~1500 of more work to make it street legal and then it'll be worth what $2k, when as scrap it's worth 500 right now. I'm gonna cut my losses because I have other projects and I need the parking space.

How much would you want for it? I am definitely interested. I have always liked white trucks

What do you mean? Complete as-is? IDK for you I could be REAL negotiable, if you're free this weekend come on up and take a look at it and we can talk. I could also show you some other goodies in my stash I have that I was going to use on this truck .

I just meant to swap the body over. I, somewhat unfortunately, don't have a place to keep a full truck. I think I am free, except for Saturday evening.

They said delivery should be in roughly 2-3 weeks, unless they have a large influx of orders, then as much as 5 weeks.

Hey man, I am hurryin! I am excited about the possibility of a clean bed, and maybe more. I need to spread out these last few purchases just a little bit, just in case something comes up. Like having to redo my brakes

Aha OK not a problem, well if we just swap (notice I said swap not sell) body parts my trucks scrap value doesn't change as the weight stays the same. Gimme a call and we can setup a time if you want to stop by and see whats what. I think it's supposed to rain and there is a 8' snow pile in front of the truck so we've got time since I couldn't move it if I wanted to yet.

My cell # is 860 508 7481 any time after 2pm till 7am.

That's what my initial interpretation was, but I didn't want to assume anything is all. I will be giving you a call. Although not totally interested in rain, haha.

Oh man...I am starting to get antsy! I check my email a couple times a day now, looking for shipping confirmation. My truck isn't going to know what hit it. New bed, new seat, new power, mostly rust free! Who needs a new truck!? Not this guy...for now. Heck, my truck is going to be practically new! Just in time for nice cruising weather

Got an email today saying that they are just waiting on the distributor gear to show up. It was backordered from their supplier. They said it should be there by tuesday or wednesday, and should ship out pretty quickly after!
