not really sure why i didn't have gloves on, i was working in a steel shop at the time and all of the stock had rough/sharp edges, and i almost always wear gloves because my hands refuse to roughen up and get calloused. played guitar daily for 13+ years and my finger tips are still as soft as a babies, it's kind of odd.
