My 66 had those lights, although more flush. Not sure if they were factory but the T-19 had a reverse switch hooked up and they worked. Also the rear bumper held 6 gal of water.

I don't believe back up lights were available from the factory in '64 or even in '66.
I think back up lights were factory available beginning in '67 F100/250 trucks.
I would guess your T-19 may not be the original (1966) transmission, rather from a later model truck.
Christmas, I would say your tailgate is OEM though, as it has the correct F O R D letter font (shape).
I'd guess it would be part # C4TZ-9940700-A, equipped on 1964/66 F100/250 2WD, and 1966 F100 4WD.
Whereas, the '64 Mecum truck tailgate appears to me to be equipped with a C7TZ-9940700-A Styleside Tailgate, which would be correct for a later model, 1967/72 F100/350 truck.
The 351w was a motor he had saved from his wife's 75 or 76 mustang that was totaled the year they got it. He put it in about the mid 80's and probably added the T19 then. I think the back-up light in that area were never offered. 67 on they were intigrated into the tail lamp. That is the original paint and from what the 92 yr old guy told me, all the dents and dings were from other people.

Yeahhhh,,,, and I doubt it was plucked from THAT ^^ Mustang either!
But hey, you did a NICE job of spiffin' up that engine, Christmas!
So was the custom rear bumper intended to hold the 6 gallons of water or no? Maybe ballast weight?
Yep, this one qualifies as a rare option in '64. Thanks for posting to this tread. We know the plastic insert will never be reproduced for so few of these trucks in existence, but what are the chances of finding a set NOS Chad?
mine has the f250 on top,in fact i have now sold the truck but have some new 65 camper badge insert some where in the garage.these are a very rare truck indeed and mine is on the slick list and photos are on my avatar.

Well, might as well not fret , I’m sure you can at least get scrap value out of it.
