I don't think wider tires would be an issue unless the rear duallys touch side walls when loaded.

Understood.
I haven’t messed with 22.5” tires on anything. My old Deuce and a half had 1100-20’s on it. The stock wheels worked just fine for them.

There are some ground hugging (low boy) trailers out there that have narrow rims, 8?, with 22.5 diameter tires.
Check with the truck/trailer tire shops.

I will do that. I have been watching marketplace but not much in the steer tire dept but a buddy has 2 nice Michelin steers for me that I'll go get in a couple weekends.

I am so super stoked. My buddy is replacing his RV tires and gave me these 2 steers. 235/80r22.5.

Has anyone had any luck finding king pin kits? I checked at Napa and they are not showing. I need to do them before I put these tires on...the hunt is on

I have found kingpin kits. But the kits I'm interested in would not fit an F600 since I have F100 and F250 trucks.

Indeed, an F600 from 1965 could have had 3 possible front axle capacities, 5M, 5.5M and 6M. The first two axles of 5M and 5.5M used one possible kit while the 6M used a couple of other possible kits - one kit with nylon bushings and one kit with bronze bushings.

If you want - post a picture of your warranty plate and if it is original and if it has any front axle info that will help determine which one it is unless you already know.

Just to give you the numbers

For the 5 and 5.5M (5,000 and 5,500 lbs. capacity) axles (Section 30.3B and C) it's saying

C3TZ-3111-A - PIN & BUSHING KIT - SPINDLE

For the 6M (6,000 lbs. capacity) axle (Section 30.4C) it's saying
C2TZ-3111-A - Nylon
B7TZ-3111-A - Bronze

If you click on each part number, it should take you to an eBay listing for that number.

This is all for standard size kingpins. They do not list any oversize kingpins for this application.

I'll look at the data tag tonight. Thanks so much for the help!

I looked and my axle code is F8 so since there isn't a third digit that it's got a 6k front standard axle...I think...maybe...

Have you checked for numbers and other indentifying info on the back side of the axle?

Swerving suggestion....

I have not looked. Honestly I wasn't sure even if there was any other than the tag decode

I'm all ears to look for sure! I'll get the wire wheel out this weekend

Well,I have looked and looked and scraped and found nothing.
From looking as I do not have a third character in my axle code that I should have the standard axle . By that the king pin kit that should fit is only $28 . I'll take a chance and order. Since it's gotten cold here in southern Indiana it'll be a bit before I can mess with this since I'll be outside working. I really want to get the new tires on soon tho just because the old ones are so awful
