I wasn't referring to you specifically, it was a general comment aimed all who began arguing over the smallest matters in this thread (and there are several.) I actually got a chuckle out of your first post about your friend's letter, though I'm sure the humor was lost on the recipients of it.
You know - I was VERY TEMPTED to list myself as "LATINO" to see if I got offers of benefits I otherwise would not have had...

(I'm a white guy)
Don't bust my cojones over it - because we are all the same!
My grandmother had a considerable amount of native American in her, so I must have some but I can't prove any of it. Otherwise, I would have used this all of my life.
My dad was adopted, we don't know anything for sure about his back ground but a number years back we met a guy who was a Native American shaman and he said he could "sense" that dad was part Native American, he even named two tribes...wonder if we could cash in on that...?! After all, a shaman said it so it must be so...
I am a descendant of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma........my great grandmother was full blooded, my grandmother was a half blood, my father was quarter......
guess that pretty much weeds me out at an eighth.......and my kids at a sixteenth
but they do have all our birth information in their records, as we are descendants, and we keep in touch~~~~
