Ed, for 1500 bucks, build one. I built my desktop about 3 years ago, and I did it for around a grand, and man did that give me one kick *** computer!

hey ED, i got an Emachines(generic gateway) from best buys 2 years ago for $350.
60 gig hard drive, 1 gig of ram, 6 usb ports, dvd burner, and a bunch of other stuff i never used. i got it without the monitor.

not sure I'm a lap top guy, so I like the desk top replacement. I really like the ease of the mouse and click and point.
I have no idea on how to build one so I might have to check into someone building one. I just don't want a POS and I'll pay a little more for one with a warranty and a name brand. all I want it to do is work. correctly.

I did the gateway thing 10 years back or so and when we maxed it out and tried to upgrade it for more ram and Memory that turned out to be a dead end and we had to buy another puter.
