I can really respect this. I would rather do repairs and maintenece over owning brand spanking new and all my cash goes to payments. If a guy can do his own repairs, its really a good experience!(most times!)
Jim I hope your little girl gets better soon!
Yea. I'm really hoping we get a more contemporary D6 soon since right now we have the TD7 doing things it really shouldn't be doing.
The newer D6 CATs have fingertip control steering. there's 2 paddles you pull on with your fingertips that brake each track and there is a thumb toggle for forward/reverse. The further you go forward the higher the gear same in reverse. Beautiful machines.
Unfortunately we can't really afford one. We're going to be getting that OBS PowerStroke so that's going to eat up funds.
Those newer cats are really nice yeah. But your totally right about the price, they arent cheap! I was kinda looking at a JD 450g? ( think that was the model but Im not really familiar with the smaller dozers) It was a nic elittle unit, 6 way blade, cab with heater and ac, but it was about 40k, and that was for a mid nineties one!
I've got the exhaust, Pete's cover, CCV stuff, 6637 stuff, and the ECU, Pyrometer, and Trans. Temp. gauge as well as the gauge pod, but I'm missing a boost gauge.
Not sure if you sent that separately or if it fell through the cracks.
By the way: The 6637 cover is VERY cool. I didn't spend a ton of time checking it out, but does it have the RiffRaff logo on it somewhere?
It's working, cause I even got you to buy from me.
and you my friend were a tough one.
Ed
Pfft. The folks at Dowling Ford helped make that sale when they didn't want to even attempt to get it for me. Screw them. They're useless. Never again will I go there...
Good evening everyone. Just got done with dinner. Shrimp on the grill. Watched some of the Masters also.
Just kind of fiddled around the house today. Organized my work bench a little, put the Christmas decorations into the shed and took the garden stuff out, and remounted my backup camera so it has a better view of the hitch ball. All in all a good day. And even went for a quick trip to Wally World this morning.
Did not get out on the motorcycle though.
Edit: That stinks Jim. Give J-L my best. Don't give her Eds advice!
