He said he has all the old springs that came off the truck too. This truck is a gasser (V8)and was kept in a garage. I looked at his hubs and couldnt believe how new they looked. Nice buy too...4K for a 2000. Guy wanted enough to put down on a minivan for his wife! HE also owed my buddy a few bucks worth of work he had yet to pay him for so they called it even at 4K. I think it has less than 70K miles on it.
Job is going good Mike. I am learning the back-end system (which is basically black/green screen MS DOS style programming ). The people there are cool, except they still think I am some sort of prodigy and ask me all sorts of technology-related questions. Hopefully I'll get my computer and software soon..then I can really show them some stuff!
Maybe you are a prodigy and don't know it
Good to hear that your job is going well.

It's going good. Same stuff, different company. I still have to ask them how much work they have. Gotta plan ahead a little, don't want to be left holding my **** in the middle of June again.
They(the company) wanted us to go to Fargo and help sandbag and pump at a couple different car dealerships that they do a lot of work for in the Twin Cities. Problem was, they asked at 7 am on Friday morning, wanted us to leave right then and work through the weekend. I'm all for helping out, but plan ahead a little, it's not like these flood water came out of nowhere, they have been talking about it for a coulpe weeks.
What happened with you uncle Sheldon, I must have missed it
Should make for a fun drive in tomorrow morning, and even more fun tomorrow afternoon.
Going good Jay, my day "ended" at 7:30 tonight(finally).
Congrats on the exhaust install, everything go well?
$71 to fill, must have been close to empty. That's why I try to fill at 1/2 tank, it looks better on the receipt.
HiHiHiHiHi
How's that new job going Lisa?
Sheldons uncle passed away. I do not know any details but I believe he had an accident while tree cutting?
Tomorrow should be fun with the weather. All depends on the route the storm takes.
Exhaust install went well. No issues at all really. Funny, but the hardest part was the tail section. Man! It did not want to snake around everything and the get that back hanger on. lol

I know this may sound cold but I honestly have a hard time feeling sorry for the flood "victims" along the Red River. This happens all the time yet they continue to fix and rebuild their houses in a FLOOD PLAIN!

Good luck. What are the chances of finding more stable employment? Or is there such thing these days?
I agree with planning ahead. You have family you have to take care of also.

Hello!!!! Move your houses!
Sorry. I just had to get that out. haha
Yeah, if its mean, I guess I am mean too because I agree. If it flooded before, it'll flood again....there is no stopping mother nature when she has plans for something.
Yet they continue to rebuild places like Galveston and New Orleans

I hear ya Jay, I have a hard time feeling sorry for them too. They KNOW they are in a flood plain, yet continue to rebuild there and beg for help when the flood waters come knocking.

Well, without some sort of "higher education", I believe I am stuck with what I do now. I REALLY need to look into some more schooling, but it's hard to do working full time.
Yeah, I like to have some sort of plan when it comes to employment, unlike last June when my foreman walked up to me on a Tuesday afternoon and laid me off. I was a little more than pissed, especially since there were people working still that had been with the company only a few months

Same thing exists in other parts of the country, with other natural disasters.
Back at home, wildfires are a big issue.
The rich folk build their houses out in the middle of the forest..and fires (a natural and necessary cycle) are prevented..prevented...prevented..until one day everything is so dry and overgrown, MILES of forest go up in flames....and all of the yups come whining and crying for help because their houses are going to burn down.
