I boil mine in chicken broth. I add bacon, onion, garlic, sugar, salt, vinegar and just a little bit of Louisana hot sauce.
Dude, they are slap your Mama good.
I always render mine down in a dutch oven with fat back then add some broth at the end.Comes out bout the same way
That's the way my grandmother taught my mother to do it.Same with cabbage
I assume you are referring to the collard greens and NOT the animal crackers?
Yeah, I have no idea how to make animal crackers. I've never seen them do it Lisa's way.

Sounds tasty. I am sure your Grandma made it better. Grandmas always do.
I was wondering the same thing about hush puppies. Never had those before.
Seafood or hush puppies?! Wow Lisa! You need to go on a long road trip down to the south!

Basically, they are deep fried ***** of corn meal. I add bacon fat and jalapenos to mine and then serve Ranch dressing to dip them in.
Some folks put butter on them.
Had my first ones at a young age and loved em! Place right down the road called Nanny's BBQ makes em and theyre pretty close to what Ive had down in Bama.
Yep, same thing. The ones that you buy in the store are not as good as the ones that you can get down here though.
The best way to eat them is fresh and hot, right out of the fryer. I have a Mexican friend that makes them and they are muy bueno. The Mexicans call them chicharrones.
Well my exhaust is here now. I asked dad to put it in the bed of my truck which is inside so it wouldn't get rained on.
He forgot and thought he would be nice and bring it home so I could see it. Now I have to try to get it across to him that I want/need to bring it down to the shed and put it in with the truck so the packaging and everything doesn't get soaked tonight, but mom is right here and she's too dang nosy for her own good so I need to let him know without letting her know.

I know. I'd love to travel and try/experience new things. Although I just looked up hush puppies on the nutritional calculator..70 cals per puppy, easily 120 if paired with ranch dressing. Whoa!

I've had pork rinds too, not sure about pork cracklings.
I went on vacation to North Carolina once, got a kick out of the convenience stores. They had pork rinds in snack size bags, just like you'd find Doritos....and like 5 different brands of Mountain Dew.

I always tell Susan they are 1 point each. An Outlaw burger is 4 points.
It's a strip of nearly all fat that comes right off the back of a pig. You ever eat fried pork cracklings? They are made from fat back.
I have a big frozen piece in my stand up freezer right now.

You would just need to participate in as many "Bedroom Olympic" events as possible to wear of all those calories
