Up to about 35 and knife incident, I ran pretty hard core.. Now I got two youngones and a wife. I rather reach old age healthy so I can keep up with them as long as I can..
I dont avoid alot of things, but I dont reach out for it either.. So the two big macs, and the bigge size.. NO.. I want to hang out and beat the kids for a bit longer..
I'm on Pat's side. My biological excuse for a mother has not taken care of herself and has the health to prove it. Seems the Coke and chocolate diet does NOT do a body good.
My older sister Nicole takes very good care of herself and she's nearly 40 and looks my age. That's the road I want to take.
I guess genetics has a lot to do with it also, my father developed lymphoma cancer most likely due to the industry he was in, and he had no heart, blood, or lung issues and past at 67. My mom is 82 and still traveling the world, both sides of grandparents lived into their 90's with relative minor old age ailments.
My last checkup was a complete from end to end, and nothing was out of whack or unusual, at 52 I feel fine and have no RX's for any ailments.

It means exactly what it means. She's 38. Typically, in numerical order, if something is more than halfway, it is "nearly" to the next whole. 38 is NEARLY 40.

Lisa, are they involved in this event already, or is this something they planned? This thing comes to Michigan every year, Sheryl and I must have gone to 10 in a row. Missing the last 3 years. Might have to go and do it again soon.

Mark, did you ever head up to it?
Event? This wasn't the renaissance festival..it was my sister's wedding. There were various types of costumes (dinosaurs, lions, ***** Nelson, etc). My sister is a bit non-traditional and said the only way she would wear a dress is if the rest of us looked like idiots as well. So the costume wedding idea was born. My sister and her husband were married October 30th.
Here are some more pics:
Me and my sister Kim
Dean and his parents (***** Nelson and Mary Poppins)
My brother and his wife. Doc Holiday and Big Nose Kate.
Afternoon y'all from another humid day in Arkansas. Thank goodness we got one of those afternoon thunderstorms to cool everything off.

I'd say something like...interesting family; but then that would be akin to the pot calling the kettle black. Some of those costumes are actually pretty cool. The two guys dressed up as Doc Holiday and Willie Nelson pulled it off pretty good...heck the guy as Willie pretty much looks like Willie's healthier twin.
