hey guys. i may be leaving the unintentionally retired fraternity tomorrow.
i got an email from a local trucking company offering me $19.50/hr.
three of their drivers heard was "available" and suggested to the owner that he better email me before anyone else heard i was looking.
keep your fingers crossed.

Tom I hope all works out for you brother.... I will pray, hope sacrifice a goat what ever works good luck man!!
i just noticed i forgot to tell y'all how horribly bad yesterday afternoon went.
the owner got off early and called the house phone at 2:30 to tell me he got in early and i could stop by whenever. i was up on the roof with both the house and cell phones on the tailgate of the truck, and did not hear the phones ringing.
at 3:55 i went inside for a drink and noticed the answering machine flashing.
i got to the shop at 4:25, and upon seeing me he said "oh, its you!!"
we then talked about the poor state of the construction industry for 20 minutes, with him finishing by saying "well, i have to go to bordentown (around a 60 mile one way drive) before i can go home, and have to leave. there is your truck, i will call you tomorrow with a start time for Thursday"
no road test, no background check, no asking to see my license, no nothing.
