I've heard turbochargers called "hair dryers"; diesel fuel called "go-go juice" or "liquid dinosaurs" and tires called "running shoes" or "road rubber". Yeah...I've spent a few years behind the wheel of a Class 8.

And the old timers used to mix a couple of gallons of gas in with their diesel and call it "rocket fuel" cause man would those trucks run like hell on that stuff.

Yip...they'd run like a raped ape for a while. I still remember the first freight-shaker that blew past me with a "snake bit" cat under the hood. Talk about black coal out the stack and a trailer holding on for dear life on the back! The downside was...you were on borrowed time everytime you hit the "magic button". I used to think my dealership owned/maintained/"tuned" KW was tuff...I didn't have anything for that guy in the Freightliner when he reached down and grabbed a handful of the cat's tail.
I used to work with a guy that would put 2 gallons of diesel in the tank of his 302 powered F150. He claimed it gave the engine that extra little "kick" when climbing a hill pulling his trailer full of modified lawn tractors. You ain't seen nothing as funny as a 6'3" string-bean man riding a Craftman lawn tractor (minus mowing deck) at a pulling contest. Let's just say it is/was an interesting hobby.
We got atleast 5"-6" pf white stuff this evening/ night.
If the truck wasn't already named id be calling it "White Gold" cause that's what's supporting my pms right now
Hey Steve Things are going well. Laid off for a few weeks so I have a wee bit of extra time on my hands. How are things with you? Our next GTG is March 20th........
Morning folks, supposed to be blessed with all kinds of sunshine & upper '40s today...I'll take it! Not exactly sure what kind of trouble I can get into today...but I'm sure well have a good time none the less.
Anyone figured out how to bottle the energy of a 9 year old? I'm thinking if I could get him on a treadmill, hooked to a generator I could spin the electric meter backwards. Looking for some symatics & wiring diagrams if anyone's be able to make it work.
