That just might be the case Pat. It does help to have good tools...and its not about the going, its all about the stopping. Its about having the choice of whether you want to go or stop!! And of course how well you can use it.
Ya, same here. Keep it in 4 hi and chip on stock and its all good. .
Stock??? I havent seen stock since someone else parked my truck for me, and I will admit that I lock my hubs, just in case, but 4 hi??
Truth be told, I prefer 2 wheel drive during a snow storm, it is kind of a reality check for me, I have a feeling I would be one of those Ars hole drivers in the 4x4 during winter storms that everyone talks about. You know the one, the one you hope ends up in a ditch...

I use stock all the time when it rains hard, or in slippery conditions. When its slick out, all that torque only works against you, not to your advantage.
4 hi, yes. When dealing with solid ice, its the only way to fly...keeping yourself in check of course. Only helps with the going, not the stopping.
And yes, I am familiar with "those" types of drivers..they are almost always the ones in the ditches.

Yeah, That could be me.. It is easy to do though, the truck hooks up, most of the time no matter what in 4x4. Brakes work, truck goes, there are no problems with ruts, or anything. She just does what ever I ask her to do. ON the other hand, people in other vehicals dont have my luxary, so they can and are effected by things that I dont experience in 4 wheel. So, when someone else has a problem, well, cause and effect, they have a problem, this changes things for me, so now I have a problem. So, I drive in 2 wheel drive as to not be over confident except when I have my family, then it is normal slow go, in 4 hi.. Its fun to, Christian and I go out with the straps and chains and pull people out of the ditch for fun.
i think i just destroyed the diet with something i haven't made or had in about 8 years.
i got in a mood after seeing collard greens in the supermarket this morning, and made a big pan of collard greens, with diced smoked pork chops, garlic, onions, a pinch of black pepper and sea salt, and egg noodles, all combined and fried in bacon fat.

Collard greens and no cornbread???????????Must be something about geography
Don't be a Toyota hater. They are all made in the U.S. nowadays anyway.
I'm a lover not a hater. I just don't love Toy's; but I will give it to them they build some cars/toy trucks that won't die. My mother had 20 yr old and 200k something miles on a Carollea that finally crapped a tranny. And that's because she hadn't checked (or had checked at a quicky lube) the fluid in 6 months. Yeah I know, a good son would have keep tabs on his mother's car. But this is the same son that rebuilt a 302 and put back into the Towncar that she traded 3 months later for the Toy. I wasn't a happy camper; had I know she was going to do that I would have given her the $500 the carlot gave her for the Towncar...leather & power EVERYTHING
