well, the saga of blue and the busted driveshaft just keeps getting better.
the parts ordered from ford to replace the broken stuff were all wrong.
the driveshaft is no good, after the machine shop welded a new rear yoke on it.
i have now said "F" it, and ordered a brand new driveshaft custom made by one of the local shops.
thick-wall aluminum, CV joint at the t-case into a slip joint, and a bolt on rear flange.
he guarantees his aluminum shafts to be good for 700 hp, so i don't think i will have to worry about breaking anything again.
and the best part is, it is only gonna cost $500, cause i have thrown him a lot of work.

Hey there fellow Fte ot'ers!
I just got done from moving my dogs kennel so its closer to the house so I can plug her dish and her house in, and it was really snowing out there!
No more then 2 minutes after I got in and warmed up some milk for some hot chocolate, the snow stopped and its sunny out, that fast. Mother nature is asking for it!

I don't know who all would be interested, but at 8PM Eastern tonight on National Geographic channel they will be going to the Rolls Royce factory to show how they are built. I hope I can catch it, 'cuz I like that stuff!

Hey Brendan! I was just reading about that online yesterday. I hadn't seen the story about RR but Porsche and Aston Martin are going to be on the Ultimate Factories series coming up this season. I watched the one on Ferrari last year and it was amazing.

I gotta admit, I have a short attention span though, if a show isnt full of action, sex, fighting, a really good mystery or the simpsons, I get bored fast, EVEn if Im interested in it!
Latest show Ive found interesting is the show "ultimate engineering".

yes it would have ya senile parts pusher, because the butcher that used to work on the truck put some kind of unknown parts in it. nothing is what it is supposed to be.
i WAS going to order the new driveshaft from you, but the custom one that will use stock u-joints is only going to be $50 more than the one from you.
HELL KNOW, Jake is kinda a girlie man so I dont want to chase him off by being to hard on him.

talking bout rolls royce...
when I was 13 or 14 I was paid to wash and wax a 1927 rolls royce touring sedan
the weather was poor and the owner won cleanest car award...
I got $20 for wash and wax and $20 bonus! (1977, I think)
it was very similar to this pic minus the rear trunk...aluminum body panels and nickle trim
it had 18 inch spoke wheels
