the only ones i like in my lap are little shih tzu's.. only time i dont like em is when they step on the "boys" lol
I hear ya on that one, but then, I really don't like little dogs much. My buddy's Jack Russell is kewl though, so there are "exceptions" but generally... 80lbs+ is my preference.
Good luck also Jim!
Just a quick fly by here with some pics.
Thanks Brent! Great pics!

Thanks Alicia!
I have to admit getting a bit on the nervous side, I'm sure that I will do fine it is just the waiting to get there part. I have a feeling that this one will take quite a while with all the people that I have to "talk" to today.
You guys and gals are the best!! I don't know how I would have made it through the past year without all of you.

im just the opposite... i like little ones but not big ones...
Good morning guys and gals. Glad you enjoyed my pics, but you really cant capture the beauty of the mountains with a camera. The temp dropped really fast up there yesterday, from 60 to 45at the top, and I think we were around 5000'.
I only have a sec to say hi, but was hoping for some advice on a new camera. Mark, Dan? anyone?
I would like to have at least 8MP, video, rechargeable battery with AA backup ability, fast shutter speed, and be lightweight. I dont want to spend much more than $300. ANy ideas? Its gotta take nice pics, the areas I head into are so beautiful and I feel Im not capturing it very well.
Thanks in advance everyone.
I got a 9.2MP Kodak for 100 bucks when I first started doing inspections and such. It does what I need it to do. Its definitely lightweight, but as far as the shutter speed...I dunno! It takes video but I don't know how long. I guess it depends on the memory card you've got in it. I just keep a spare 4 pack of AA batteries in my truck so I wont be out of commission when the batteries die!

Brent, I have the HP R927 which has since been discontinued, but I never had any issues with it, 8MP, video, extra battery, (doesn't have the AA backup), 1/2000th to 16 shutter speed, 3X optical, 8X digital, built in flash, macro settings, it is pretty durable too with a stainless steel housing, the docking station came with this version but was available as an option, and all the rest of the bells and whistles.
I got it 3 years ago and it was 299, then I'm sure the technology has advanced somewhat, so your in the right price range still.
