I like the 5.0 engine myself. Ive had good luck with them in cars and trucks.
The 4.6 liter is pretty quick in a stang too, they might actually surprise ya! I was against them at first, but after owning one, I can say they are really good little engines.
I have it in my head I would like my next stang to have a twin turbo charged 5.0 engine in it. Not sure if I can make it happen, but ive heard they fly once ya stick a couple of turbos on em!
ive gotten to drive a couple 4.6L's recently due to friends letting me try out their rides... they really didnt impress me much... i loved the sound of them... but their giddy up seemed lacking to me...
think the big thing thats turned me off to the 5.0's were the people that drove them really... most the guys ive run in to were "big headed" so to speak.. kind of guys that give car entheusiasts bad names ya know?? where they think and say that "less you have ____ your not worth anything on the street" kind of types...
if youd really like to have a 5.0L again ive heard fords been planning to drop them back into the stangs again sometime soon... but its gonna ve an OHC engine instead of a pushrod.. cant remember if its going to be SOHC or DOHC... would have to try and find it again... but there quite a few twin turbo kits out for the s197 body styles...

The closest we ever came to a 5.0 racing was a GT350 engine (289cuin).We took it out of a '66 mustang and put it in a '62 falcon
body
We had the 428 in several bodies but work best in a '67 fairlane
289's were best imo too... they did the mustangs right when they put it in those gen 1 stangs... they had that car perfectly balanced all the way around imo...
He's about 97lbs now and will be 8 years old on Dec. 5th. He's an Akita. Other than the Blue Heller I inherited, I'll probably stick to Akitas. They are work, but the rewards.... I'm just not a lab/retriever kinda guy. Akitas are much more independent. To each his/her own! Just train them not to jump up on me... I friggin' HATE that.

me too... specially when people have very LARGE dogs and the first thing they want to do is get face to face with you... when they got little ones i dont mind if they hop into my lap.. so long as theyre not figity ones...
Big or small... train 'em! Logan's not a robot that has no personality, and he's SUPER friendly, but he won't jump up on you. Lelo (fat little Heller I have) still tries to but I correct her every time. Really, would you want me to jump in your lap when I met you?
On a completely different track, this is the strangest .... commercial? tribute?... that I have ever come across...
