Sounds good Ray. Around here alot of the older Portuguese make wine every fall. Quite nasty IMO very bitter and strong. Even more so than a Port Wine.

Ahh yes, sounds good. I'm stuck in IA, where you have to KNOW someone to hunt, this weekend is the start of muzzle elk in Colorado and I am missing it.

Fixing truck, or modding? New guns? Please do tell! I do love a good gun story...

little bit of both on truck. new turbo, now cant keep boots on but that is a easy fix just a call into clay. ICP trouble( that is a very $$$$ little thing for what it looks like). still need brakes did not get to that yet. new shocks. as far as guns go i bought 2 AR-15, one complete in 5.56(.223). the other was a Stripped lower reciver on top of that i put a .50 Beowulf. the .223 is a great fun gun to have, plus my girl can use it to deer hunt. the .50 after 40 rounds still cant get it to hold a group. had some bad scope mounts. got that fixed now just got get that ammo reloaded, or buy a reloader. which is in the works just gotta go slow do to the funds$$. last is the TC encore muzzle loader. i do not like to stie in black powder. take to long but got that after 3 different bullets. branes expanderMZ 300gr work best.

so that what has me busy for now

ICP trouble is the shhiits. How'd you figure it out? I had to get a mechanic to hook mine up to his diagnostic computer and take it for a run down the road.

I need shocks as well. Let me know what you go with and how you like them.

FWIW, no matter how consistent of a reloader you are, firing reloads probably won't help you increase accuracy and groups with the .50. I've found, time and time again, that accuracy of a reload can depend on the day, powder, type of bullet, down to the number of times the brass has been recycled. Just my .02. I've been putting a lot of rounds through my .357 and messing around with different reloads, and that gun will not group for $h*t when firing reloads, does not matter how consistent the rounds. I swear one single gram of powder makes a difference. On factory Winchester rounds, it'll group an inch at 20 yards.

I hear ya on sighting in a smokestick. It sucks. What kind of powder are you using? it helps when you don't have to swab the barrel as much. Also you can get some speedloaders to help reduce time betwen loads. Encore makes a nice gun, that's what my brother carries. I like my shabby trusty Winchester. I've never shot the brand of bullets you speak of, sabots are not allowed in Colorado for some retarded reason.

lisa with the ICP just unpulged it and all the problems went away so i replaced it. That is the 2nd one in 3 months same thing happened the last time i was out under my hood.

your .357 how long is the barrel i have a .44 raging bull with a 8'' barrel and it will group them all in a 1inch or less with federal fusion 240gr. with the .50 beowulf i dont have a choice but to reload cant get ammo it is a 16week back order if you lucky. but we will just see i have a friend reloading for me now but i figure i will have to learn becuase i dont like waiting on other people for ammo. i am using 777 in my encore three pellets i groups real nice ( cut holes at 100 yards every time). i love that gun. i liked my knight until i got the TC. i dont want to reload my .270 or any of my pistols because it is real easy to just go buy it. If ammo gets any more $$ i will start to reload it all.

2nd in 3 months? Thats bizarre.

My .357 is just a little K frame 6" barrel service revolver. The man has a .44 mag S&W with an 8 3/8" barrel that shoots long range like a dream. Last time we went out I was grouping about 4-5" at 80 yards (no freakin joke) on reloads. The .357 won't play nice on reloads, at any distance.

I like 777 too. Tried that Shockey stuff once, dirtiest powder I've ever seen. Barrel looked like the tailpipe on my truck after a single round..

Well if you need any reloading advice let me know. I'm still learning myself, but I know a few experts you can talk to. Also if you're having trouble locating a specific item, please let me know, give me a call, I may be able to help. We have a Dillon in the garage, nice press but it was expensive. We have a S&W 500 on its way here, and factory rounds are over $1 each last time we priced them. Wouldn't be economical to shoot it without the ability to reload, so I know what you mean.

I noticed the gun show pictures, thanks! Lots of neat stuff there, and alot I am totally clueless but find it really cool. In case I missed it, did you buy anything??

I had a good day. I moved the mobile home to the other part of my yard today, it was alot of work, but nice to get it moved, and now my yard looks totally different with it not there. Before the mobile was kinda in front of the house, and no its just house.
