We caught this on that trip. Just happened to be in the right spot at the right time. This is the UP Challenger. It was passing through North Platte and we got lucky. The date on the photo is wrong. The pic was taken in June of 2004.

Congrats on the wins today Jacob. Heres a few pics of that old merc I was yapping about before.
Wings were AWESOME, Ive never been to this place before but am definatly going back again! I had some lemon pepper, salt and pepper, and buffalo wings. The buffalo was really tastey, but they werent half as hot as I would have liked them. Although Sandi thought they were super hot, Maybe Im used to hot stuff.

What is that about a 51 or 52,and that looks like a ford sadan on the left.I love old junkyards like thtat.

That sounds like fun, Brad. You should take a camera with you. Railfanning is fun and addicting.
I will see what other good ones I have to post up.
Its actually my uncles old junkyard. I should get more pictures of it, there is TONS of cool old stuff there, not just ford either. Tons of really cool old equipment too. (anyone ever hear of a lanz bulldog tractor?)
That blue sedan is my uncles very first car he ever got. I forget what year it is, but he bought it for like 20 bucks, and had to rebuild the engine himself when he got it. He is AMAZING at fixing, well, anything.
The truck is a 51 as far as I know. It needs lots, but it should be fun. I have a 77 f150 with a 460 that i was planning to modify the frame and put underneath this 52, and keep the 460 in it,but stroke it out to a 514, or 521. Lately Ive been thinking more of daily summer driver, so a healthy 460 with some sort of overdrive tranny might be in the works. My uncle wants me to throw a flathead in it, as he loves his original stuff!
Heres another cool pic of a car he has, if you guys are interested.
