Can't they just leave the keys in the forklift like normal people?
Forklifts are a premium commodity in this plant. We are almost 200,000 sq/ft now and everything we work on is heavy and long. We have eight conventional forklifts, but only one swing mast. The swing mast is the one that everyone wants as it really cuts down on the work that the operator has to do and shortens trip time.
I cut a new PO for another swing mast last week. Hopefully that will ease this a little.
We found the keys, by the way. Mysteriously laying on the floor of the forklift...
Jay there is an easier way to do it...but its been a few months since ive worked on a PC (or explorer for that matter). However, you should be able to find it on your menu somewhere when you are working in your browser.
For example, for firefox, on my apple, I click "firefox" and click on the "about firefox" button. It pulls up the authors of the program, copyright info, and the version.

Ah. The last place anyone would look.
When I was a kid washing cars at a VW dealership I almost punched out a mechanic because he swore up and down that he didn't have the keys to a customer's car that he worked on. Even had the service manager looking for them. At the end of the day, they showed up hanging on the key board where they were supposed to be.

That kind of sounds like my famous Sears Automotive encounter....

Still cannot find anything. I am starting to use Firefox more at home but am forced to use IE at work because of an online connection with one of our manufacturers so it is easier to just keep a window open for FTE along with theirs. I was just curious which version I was on because of Brendans thread. I am on IE7. we also cannot update until the manufacturer upgrades their system. we were on IE6 for a LONG time because of that. Thanks though!!
I'm I hope that the girls and you feel better soon.
Jim, I have tried clicking on the link for more smilies but cannot seem to get it to work. Am I missing a step maybe? You guys use such cool stuff sometimes and I am stuck with the same ol boring ones. lolWow, I am starting to sound like a whiner
Hey, Scott it sounds like the boys in shipping could use a little break from that machine. Or maybe they should realize that if there's no production then they can't ship anythign and they're out of a job.
When dad was still partners with his twin in their business they were always trying to figure out where the heck the keys to such and such a thing were or where something went. Or at least we were. Things would go away and never return again unless we went to twin's house to take them back.
They've since had a very messy split of the business and we're building up our own business now and doing fairly well.
Wow! I posted pictures of my truck over at Plowsite and one member there says this:
"Hey, I know that truck, that Dealer is on Global on Killingly St Johnston, RI, my gf lives in Johnston, congratulations, I was considering that truck as well, Best of Luck with it!"
I never figured I'd find the other guy that was looking at that truck. TBH I thought the dealer was BSing me about another guy looking at it.
