I run with the dogs off-leash, but then I'm out at 4AM.... When I run I'm not thinking about running, or how far I have left in the run... I think about what mods I want to do to the truck, what motorcycle I really want, if any good movies are out on DVD or in the theater... anything BUT running pretty much, and the miles cruise by. I prefer trailrunning since there's better scenery & variety of terrain, and I'm actually faster off-road than I am on-road. I never use my ipod while running, even before I had Logan to run with me, but now with him, I want to be able to hear traffic, etc. for the safety of both of us. Plus occasionally you get to hear the "terror scream" of a cat running hell-bent for a tree while a 95lb Akita is in pursuit!
Im far enough out that I could run with my dog off leash too, but we are trying to teach our dog how to act nice on a leash. Shes pretty good right now, but like any dog, more training never hurts!
I actually taught her how to shake a paw yesterday, shes such a smart dog, it amazes me sometimes.
I got into running on a treadmill a few years ago, and the way I managed to do that was to listen to white zombie, cranked up high on my mp3 player! Had a little metallica, and other harder music like that, and that sure helped.
Actually when i work out I zone myself right out so i cant feel anything, and that works great, I should try that with running (more like slow jogging for me to start haha) and i bet that would help to get me into it.

Morning lisa.
Morning!
I'm a treadmill runner too. I do the same, crank up the music and try and zone out. I hate running so much, its really the only way I can cope with it! LOL.
Speaking of smart dogs: so ever since I got Mattie, she puts herself in her crate whenever I go anywhere. She knows that if I put my coat on, and grab my keys that I am leaving, and she grabs her KONG and goes and sits in her crate.
A few days ago Randy was asking her if she wanted to go for a car ride, no hype or excitement in his voice..he just asked her just the same way he would ask a person in the room. She went and sat by the back door while we grabbed our keys and coats. She knew she was going. That dog speaks English!
She also knows, within a time frame of about 10 minutes, exactly when Randy gets home from work.
They did that last year with a form I needed to claim my school expenses. I had to wait until mid Feb for it, I was a little pissed. I normally have my refund back by the time they released the forms last year.
Hope they don't stick it to you with the sale of your house last year.
I bet your pumped about going to florida for a few weeks Jim, ya lucky SOB haha.
.
I am pretty pumped up. I'm only going for a week or 2 though. Since the house got ruined and we dropped the price it has been madness with people wanting to look at it. We have 2 offers waiting and at least 6 more showings between now and Sunday.

I had a pit mix that had to be kept in a cage when left alone, she would get in the cage when she saw we were leaving and would remind us if we didn't lock her door.As well a understanding common conversation I think she could also read roadsigns, she knew exactly where her pee stops were on a 750 mile trip between houses
The dog I have now can read McDonald and Sonic signs
Dogs do have a built in clock and know within a couple minutes of a regular event
Two of my dogs could tell when my truck was comming down the street

Wow Jim! It looks like you might actually sell the house in the condition its in? People love fixer uppers.
Sounds like you may get a happy ending out of this, even though you had to go through so much trouble and pain to get there.
I wish I were going to Florida. Enjoy the nice weather 5x over for all the rest of us.

I might get lucky on that one. Apparently there are outlined "extenuating circumstances" involving selling a home that you haven't lived in for 2 years. I talked to a CPA the other day and I think I'm going to get out of this one alive.

LOL thats funny. Our old family dog Lizzy (rottie german shepherd mix) could tell who was home just by the sound of our vehicles. My brother's lab Tucker knows the sound of my Powerstroke. Tucker and I are buds and I guess he just about pees himself when he hears my truck out front.
McDonald and Sonic signs? I take it your pup gets an occasional burger for good behavior? Mattie got a burger once, but she has food allergies so she doesn't get anything except her dog food these days.
Morning all!!! Just heading out the door but thought I'd say hi!!!
For Brendan only! Nobody else here likes this stuff...lol Check this out- YouTube - Pink - Sober (Bimbo Jones Club Mix) *[FULL HQ]* Dang it's awesome!! I need to go dancing bad now...

He has always got several cheeseburgers a week, really prefers sonic but cries if I pass either without stopping. He will eat at burger king or wendys under protest
Being around my dogs so much the last 10 years sometime I can't believe how smart they are
Jim it's suppose to be cold tomorrow(in the low 30s here) but in the 80s next week
I saw that! The natives are going to be cold. I should be pulling into Bradenton sometime tommorow night.

It is crazy Lisa, I have been crunching some numbers and I will actually make more $$ selling it this way. By the time people buy this house and fix it up it will cost them more than when the listing price was higher. A few of the people are cash buyers. My realtor is letting everyone know that there is a lot of people looking at the house and the offers are coming in. It almost seems like a bidding war is going to begin.
I will enjoy Florida, If I could send all of you some warmth and sunshine I would!
