I like getting those calls where they try to get your personal info, or sell you the extended warranty on your truck. I tell them "Thank you for calling. You've just won a free one year subscription to Time magazine." I then tell them that I have to inform them that this conversation is being recorded, and ask their name. If they give me their name, I ask for their home address. I've actually had one guy hang up on me only to call me right back and call me an unfriendly name. I guess wasting my time is OK, but wasting their time is a no-no
I like what I have heard of theirs, which is not much so far. Seems to me they have been around quite a while but have recently become a little more known?

I've been going to see them live since about 2000 or so but yes, they are starting to get a bit more known.
Lisa- That looked really good, and Cris that sounded delicious.
Us? I put a pot roast in the crock pot around noon, tunred it to high, and walked away..... then had a bag of fresh yukon gold taters, quartered and then diced (with the skin on), boiled with salt, and garlic, drained and mashed, with heavy cream, and a scoop of mayo. wrapped some fresh asparagus with bacon and roasted it in the oven. MMMMMMM, Gooood! Sorry no pics, it didnt stay around long enough
On another note,
My wife has a seperated AC joint (its the joint where your collar bone is held to your outer shoulder). Back in Nov. when we were putting up the Christmas tree, shee reached into the bag to bring out a branch, and the joint seperated. At the time we thought she just pulled a muscle, or maybe had a pinched nerve. Well long story short is, I have tried to get her to go to the doc for 2 months now, and she wouldnt because she was afraid that she couldnt get a sub to prepare her classes for their finals. Well finals are done and I finally got her to go to the doc last thursday. They did the xrays, and hav enow decided that an MRI is in order and most likely surgery to follow (its not just strained, or partially seperated, the whole tendon/cartiledge is ripped in two). The orthopedist will be there for the MRI and will read it immediatley on Wed to determine which surgery will be needed. So we shall see.

Yikes Brandon...sounds like she is gonna be out for the rest of the school year.
Joe, I plugged in my xmas lights to my inverter and it started smoking...had to get a new one...I had a nice 400 watt inverter and picked up a 75 watt inverter for $15
Brandon, please let us know how it goes. The thought of surgery can be a scary one, hopefully she is doing okay with it. Tell her to stop worrying about her class, the sub will be okay while shes get it fixed.

75 watt? I guess that's good for a string or two of Christmas lights. LOL
I have a 500W with me, but it's noisy & on its last leg. Decided to grab a 750, but it's a major PITA to run it with rentals. Gotta run it to the battery, and the required power cables are BIG. Sucker pulls 75A at full output, so plugging into the vehicles aux power adapter isn't feasible.

Sorry to hear about that Brandon. She sounds like me in that she cannot stop herself from worryin about stuff. Tell her she needs to take care of her health and her kids will be fine.
