I dont wanna know how much building permits are around here. I think 90 for a electrical permit was plenty!

I only paid 75 for mine back in Richmond. Then the business license was another 100 or so. This was 3 years ago and I hated it! Hopefully its not too expensive in FL!

$90 Tristan?? LOL...than I wont even tell you.... Lets just say a new home building permit in Bellingham starts at $28,000 right now before you even think about breaking ground....Thats the permit only, not plans or engineering... Electrical is only about $250 for a new home, it's the building they nail you on.

No man! lol... thats the average cost of new construction for a 2000 sq. ft home. Terrible huh? It's a source of a lot of anger around here. Which is why I "added" on to mine, rather than start over. My permit was about $1700 I think, and I have about 2600 sq. ft.

Down here they have an impact fee that tacks on to the building permit. For a new residence the impact fee is $30k
