Club FTE requires payment. That means either an adult has paid for it or implied consent. How many 12 year olds do you know with a credit card?
Not to be a jerk, but Im just saying..

I've been trying to be helpful, answer questions and work on solutions to the thread for folks, during my free time - there is no need for anyone to be antagonistic, it will not accomplish anything.
I knew it would happen (the exception) but no, I'm actually having a great day! Started off with a nice run with the pups, and now I'm shopping for more toys (some for Nyx, some... just because!)
Oh yeah, and if you still want/need help with that backup/copy thing we talked about, just let me know. I'll be glad to help. CHEERS!
I'm currently trying in vain to correct an operator error issue since I seem to have messed up a network connection somehow. Once I get the network like it's supposed to be, I'll be in touch.

I feel for you. I don't sleep well in a hotel so out of town trips aren't as fun as they used to be.

Ack... that doesn't sound like fun!

i got kinda luck with this hotel, the bed is actually not half bad!
Hey Ken, always wanted to ask ya, how did you get into doing your own tuning on your vehicles? Seems very interesting to me, and i wouldnt mind dabbling on the darkside a little bit
Im a bit of a computer junky, so everytime I hear i can connect something to my computer, it perks my ears up!
Good morning Cris! Everyone have a good day, just checking in for some cartoons....

2027 Ford Super Duty Buyer's Guide (Every Model, Engine, & Package)
Well mother nature is not happy with us residents of the north-east today. We've got a couple inches of icy slushy mess on the ground right now. I've taken to playing that danged "Fantastic Contraption" game.

Well, I've always been a wrench turner and a computer guy at the same time. Odd combination, huh? Back in the late 90s after FTE got started I connected with a guy in the programming business who sold Superchips products. I learned a lot from him while he sold chips on the site, but the relationship didn't last long (company is out of business). I ended up connecting with the folks at Superchips, and later, Diablosport followed by SCT. I've played around with most of the Ford tuning packages (and up and coming package is HP Tuners).
Through Motorhaven I ended up selling thousands of tuners and chips, via mail order and locally. It took some time to hone my skills with custom tuning, and I spent a lot of time tuning my own and friends vehicles with lots of data logging. The only thing I didn't like tuning via mail order is custom superchargers and some of the wilder builds - they really need dyno time for a proper tune. I have data logging equipment, a couple of wide band O2 sensors, etc. plus the full SCT software suite (all Ford and GM vehicles).
Right now I'm running Mike Troyer's tunes in my F150, the guy is good at Roushchargers and we talk a lot about tuning - great guy. I don't have the dyno facilities to do it myself, unless I wanted to spend way too many hours to get a Roushcharger tune "right" for one vehicle whereas he has been able to spend years tuning many Roushcharger F150s. I do occasionally load my own tunes into the vehicle, mostly for data logging what the tranny is doing.
For the F250, well, I was running DP-Tuner's mileage tune it in. After Ford updated the FICM without my knowledge and I ended up getting it updated back to a better a FICM code DP's tune is horrible during cold starts below 40 degrees. The idle goes up and down, cylinder mis-firing, etc. and it takes forever to warm up. Its not a problem with DP's tunes, just a mismatch between it and the new FICM code. So, I made my own mileage tune for it rather than bugging DP about it (besides, I enjoy it), and fixed the startup condition as well. I'm getting about 19-20 mpg on the highway if I keep it under 65 mph.
For the Ranger, that's the ultimate in mileage tuning here. My daughter drives it to college and isn't a speed maniac so I sacrificed power in order to keep her fuel economy good.
Im a bit of a computer junky, so everytime I hear i can connect something to my computer, it perks my ears up!
Oh, forgot to mention, look into getting the DashDAQ. It runs Linux, is open source and does an incredible number of things with vehicles, includes USB ports, serial ports for data logging, supports several hundred digital gauges on our Fords, etc. Combine that with HP Tuners or SCT Pro Racer and the sky's the limit. Just be careful at first and make minor changes....
