Going to Rhode Island to hopefully put down a deposit on my own this Saturday.
Currently I don't have my license yet, but right now I drive my dad's 6.0L DRW w/service body every chance I get. The 6.0L is actually pretty loud. They're pretty fun though. Not as good as a 7.3L though.
Definitely not as fun as the 7.3 and they are slowwwww off the line
The truck is close to 12k pounds with all the tools and stuff on it so no matter what it'd be slow off the line. He had a 7.3L before, but due to a whole family mess it ended up being sold. Technically they're the company's trucks, but since we own the company they're our trucks. Transitive property of equality... Sorry! Geometry class taking over...
Ya know fellas, when I test drove a few 6.uhoh's I found the same thing. I found that my 7.3 felt just as strong es them. I made sure I tested out the power too (and I know the 6.0 has more stock hp)
I actually dont mind the way the T/S shifts either, but ive personally known three or four trucks of buddy's/work trucks that blew the stock trannies.

Cool, the truck in my sig is my dad's but I have a chance at getting it. I've had my license for 2 months now, and I drive the 7.3 every day to school.
Yea. I can't wait to get Thursday and Friday out of the way as fast as possible. hopefully I won't find anything wrong with the truck I'm looking at or I'll be severely disappointed.
The issue around here is they just changed the law 1 month and 2 days before I turned 16.
Before you could just get your permit, take drivers ed, and then go get your license. However some of the idiots around here that drove ricers couldn't handle the whopping 80 miles an hour their rice could go and hit trees and died. So about 10 of them died in a year so the governor bullied some new laws through the state government to change driving laws.
Now I can't get my license til March 3rd because you have to have your permit for at least 6 months before you an get your license. You still have to do all of your drivers ed. They changed the on-road hours from 20 to 40 although there's no real way to enforce that so it's pretty much useless. You have to take an 8 HOUR drug and alcohol class. That's 8 hours all in 1 sitting. Plus your parents have to go to one of your drivers ed classes.
And they can suspend your license pretty much whenever they want for whatever reason they want. And no passengers whatsoever for a year.
