I just drove past a Shell station here and they had diesel @ $2.099/gal!!! And I was in my friggin' Subaru!!! I think I'm going home at lunch AND getting all my extra fuel jugs too!! LOL
Traditionally, yes. The option would be to arrange a construction loan that will roll over into a mortgage when the building is complete. You would buy the land and build the house with the same loan, so there is only one not.
Look for a local FLB (federal land bank). They specialize in agriculture type stuff and mortgages out in the country. Sit down with them and talk about the possibility of buy land and building on it. They should be able to put together a loan for you where you can do this. It will then be converted to a traditional mortgage when construction is complete, and then likely sold off to a standard mortgage company.
Okay, cool. We'll check into that. Thanks Chris.

Wait for about a foot of snow, then 10 or so days below freezing then take your camera out and take icicle pictures. Thats the poor mans winter time draft test. You do not want a house that has even a 6 inch icicle hanging off of it. The draft test will get your walls and doors and windows for you. But a long icicle costs lots of money to create.
I had no idea you could read into icicles so much. I remember the house we lived in when I was a kid used to get some MONSTER icicles, like 3' long.
G'morning! Hey where is your loverboy Brent? He knows it's GAME ON with the OT right??????
g'morning to you to Travis! I don't know where he is.

Don't get too excited Brendan, I paid $1.99 on Sunday and it is still dropping. Hopefully it won't be too long and you will be seeing those prices also!!
I was out scouting.....sitting on the edge glassing the canyon, and I bumped it with my boots and it took quite the tumble lol. I'll be buying a shiny brand new one today Thinking of getting the Garmin Etrex.....

Ahh I see. I have a Garmin I use for hunting. I have no idea what model it is, but its easy to use.
I thought about getting Randy one of those turn-by-turn GPS thingys you get for your car. Do you guys think that would be a cool present? Especially considering we now live in a state we are unfamiliar with.
I just bought a TomTom 730 Yesterday, replaced the 700 I had.
I am talking about a hand held type for hiking/hunting. Heard good things about the double Tom though

Well, if I am unemployed come the new year, I may be passing through your area! I'm not sure yet, but may take a road trip to Tucson to visit a buddy for about 2 weeks, go to Rocky Point, and generally just goof off. We'll see what shakes out!
If I see this, I'll be putting the transfer tank back in my truck. I filled up last night for 2.34 at 6 pm. This morning at 5 it had dropped to 2.32.
Isn't that the way it always works.
I filled up for 2.42 the last time I was at a station. Can't really price shop here in Cedar Rapids. There are only a few stations that sell diesel.

Lisa......this is a no brainer! GUYS LOVE GADGETS. Get it, he'll love it
He's extremely hard to buy for. If he wants something he just goes out and buys it. First year, I bought him an Ipod. Last year, a Browning 12 Gauge and a speaker system for his Ipod.
