You should get kicked out of the shop for screwing around. The shop is not an area to play around in. Too much potential for getting seriously hurt or worse.
Add some horsing around to THAT, and the potential for serious injury is tremendous.

In Middle School we had this shop teacher named Mr. Dozel. Had a handlebar moustache and wore nothing but old Levi's and plaid flannel shirts. He was a good shop teacher but was pretty strict with rules. I remember one year he was going over his shop safety rules at the beginning of the year and this one kid was being a disrespectful little punk and Mr. Dozel threw his welding mask at him, nearly nailed the kid in the head with it. He would throw any kid out of his class for not paying attention to the rules.
