It has become a portal with which people can track me down and hassle me anytime they please. lol.

I also use my cell as my alarm too so that doesn't really help...I hate it for that too.

Good morning everyone! It was cold this morning and man, I really wanted to work on the truck after I got off work. I need to clean and regress the drivers side hub assembly, don't want it to go the way of the passengers side. Also stopped at the gas station and checked my tires. All 4 were at 50 psi. Filled the front to 60 and the back to 55. I had no clue that 10 more psi could make such a difference. The tire noise is down and the ride is better, truck will not drift a lot and feels like it handles better, YES! I am happy

Don't want to get the wrong idea. This post would be so much easier and quicker to understand with a little punctuation. Not dissing on ya, just making a statement.

Lisa, getting cooler as we are having highs in the 50's and have had a killing frost. Rain showers started Wed and are predicted through the weekend. Actually quite a change from what we had been used to. Even ran the heater in the combine as it was chilly. The leaves looked great for a few days but the rain and wind have stripped them off the trees. Even though it is cool I'm sure that it is a lot wetter and more humid than what you are used to in Colorado. Hunting season is open for some game. I heard a few muzzleloader shots a few days ago. Hope they got some deer as there are way too many around here. Have had the same guys hunting deer here for over 30 years and they usually clean out a few.

How is the current job going? It is sad that some people in authority don't know how to be civil and ethical. Unfortunately that type is everywhere. Got the house sold?

We had our first good freeze last night, got down to 16 or something like that.

Current job...had it out with him yesterday, even raised my voice a few times..and thats seems to have done the trick he is being civil this morning.

I THINk I have the house sold, but the buyers have FHA so they are asking for all kinds of preventative repairs and certifications. We're still working on getting that straightened out.

All goes well closing will be November 20th. I hope the weather plays nice in Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa that weekend. Randy is going to fly out that weekend and help me move. I am getting a trailer and we're going to haul everything out to Cedar Rapids with the stroke.

BTW if you ever need a few more hunters to come out and take a few deer off your property, you just let us know...

Hope that the weather is fine for you that weekend. That sure helps make life easier if it doesn't rain when you are moving.

I will certainly keep you in mind for hunting. We are a short hour from CR and the roads aren't too bad. Sometimes these guys get their tags filled and there is still some season left. Plus, some are getting older and are loosing interest in hunting.

Damn girl, that's cold! It got down to I think 38 one night last week and I was not happy about that. I am kind of curious to see how my truck starts in the winter though, since I have absolutely no starting aids (grid heater, air heater, glow plugs, etc...). I think I'm just gonna have to put it through a couple tests this winter, leaving it unplugged a few select nights as the temps get colder, just so I know how it will do. I'd rather find out in my driveway than stranded away from home somewhere.

So what was said between you and the boss...who brought it up between you two?

Mark, if you arrange a little hunting weekend, I may just have to make that trip north. No muzzle loader here though, just the 30-06, which now I wonder if it's even legal in IA since Lisa's 7mm isn't. I could always bring the 12 ga and some slugs though, or more than likely borrow rifle that's allowed up there.

Yeah, agreed. I'll ask God if he would pretty please make it a dry weekend that weekend. I don't care if it's cold I just don't want to have to deal with dangerous driving conditions, and like you mentioned, getting rained or snowed on while trying to move. I don't ask for much so maybe he'll do that for me.

I hope it all goes down this way. That next week is Thanksgiving and I am excited to be stress-free and enjoy the holiday with Randy's family.

Yeah it got cold last night. I think its 38 or 39 degrees outside right now!

Between the boss and I..he brought it up of course...again. He lets stuff bother him to no end and he brings it up and brings it up and just wont let things go. I finally walked into his office and said "LOOK!". We just discussed my intentions, how I didn't appreciate being pushed around, and that he shouldn't believe the rumor mill in this place. I ended it by telling him "This is MY personal issue, and I will deal with it the way I see fit. You have no right to assume I will leave the company high and dry and that I will leave here on bad terms. I am a genuine person and I do what I promise and I always finish what I start". And we sorta left it at that.

Jeremy in Iowa, rifles are not allowed. Shotguns and smoke sticks are. We'll just find you a decent smoke stick and you'll be good to go.

no centerfire rifles at all are allowed in regular shotgun season statewide. However, there is a late season hunt in the lower 2 rows of counties where a min 6mm cal centerfire is legal, but its doe only. shotguns over .410, muzzleloaders over .45, and handguns over .40 are legal for Iowa firearms seasons as long as they don't have projection beam sights.

Leo, I had heard that 410's aren't allowed because they have the killing power and accuracy of a rifle. Is that true or just an old hunter's tale?
