I have Verizon FiOS (Fiber to the house) and it comes with a landline. Well, I could cancel it, but then they just charge you more for 'net only access... It's been a while since I looked though -- maybe that has changed?? I'm paying $40/mo for 5Mbps down/2Mbps up, plus about $25/mo for my phone. Definitely worth looking into since we all have cell phones...
EDIT: And my daughter's 13. She's had it for 2 years now. But then again, I've been working in the cellular industry since the bag & car phone days. Remember those??? lol...
I like watching the ufc, Ive often thought about getting into some sort of martial arts. I think it would be pretty neat to fight in a ring like that, instead in a bar!
Friends dont let friends wear spandex underpants...
I never looked at is an electronic leash. Just because I have it doesn't mean I have to answer it. If someone really needs something important, they can leave a message. It does drive me nuts, the people who think that just because it's a cell I should be available 24/7.

Unfortunatley for those of us not in a MAJOR metro area, that option isnt avail yet.
I have my "landline" bundled with my digital cable/internet from Brighthouse, I dont have any idea what the speed is. Hell, it was on special, and for another $13 on top of my cable/ internet bill, I got a digital phone line. My bellsouth phone bill was about $45-50 a month, so I am saving at least $27 a month by bundling.

Exactly! My phone is for me! Now the business phone, unfortunately I'm tethered to that one, but only during the day. After 5 or 6 in the evening, most calls will wait until the morning.

Just because your going horizontal doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get any rest...don't try and fool us Joe!
