I knew a kid in elementary school who had a pair of Hammer pants with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle designs on them.
Dont know how I missed the Hammer britches then cuz I'm not much older than you. Guess I wasnt one of the cool kids. I had a couple of them shirts....Johnson mud tires, Johnson racing, General Stoneballs, etc...

Good luck with that Mark. Some guys at work play the numbers every week and last week they started getting some $20 scratchers. They spent $1500 won like $900, spent that and won $700. They spent that and only won $400. I was off today so I dont know how they came out.
I never have played them things. My son buys the 10 and 20 dollar ones. I used to buy a hundred dollars worth at a time for his mother as gifts as she really liked them. She would **** me off though if she would scratch them off in whatever vehicle of mine we happened to be riding in at the time. Pay attention there Lisa, there is something else I would change if I knew then what I know now.

Well at that rate, they ended up with zero pretty quick, which is the general idea the state has.
I'm definitely in the sunset years of my life, but that's alright. Nature has a way of preparing you to croak. Everything just gets more difficult to do, and now with this mess?????? I am just glad I lived in the 50's and 60's, if I had not quit smoking I probably would not have lived another 6 months. But I'm feeling better everyday and have lost tract of how many weeks. It is either 11 or 12 this Friday. August 22nd anyways.
Way to go, Mark. I'm glad that you are seeing the benefits of quitting. I know that it took a while and much rethinking but now you are seeing the value of your decisions.
So not to be ON TOPIC, but I learned something today you all should check out. If you push & hold your odometer button then turn your key to ON while you keep holding it, it will eventually say "TEST" then "gauge". Start your truck and push the button to cycle through what the odometer displays. I need to go check what each display means, but I found the tachometer and battery V pretty cool. How many of you all knew about that trick??
I STILL see No Fear, Fear This stuff, from time to time...usually on the back of some Honda Civic with the mirror taped on or little beat up Ford Ranger ...
Oh $h*t.
Yeah...I could see you in a Big Johnson shirt...

Well today was a freakin long @ss day. Interviews nearly all day, and arguing with my boss over who is the most qualified candidate. Uhhh..I think I won though. We decided on a lady who is 35ish, with kids, highly experienced. He wanted one of the good looking young pups..with absolutely no experience or not nearly enough..
Chauvinism is still very much alive..
I know what you mean, if I see one of those stickers still it is on some beater from the late 80's or early 90's.
I bet the kid with the TMNT hammer pants was the COOL kid in the class.
Lisa- sorry your day was soo long... Don't you love it when someone will pass up the most qualified person just so they can hire some eye candy.
Did anyone notice your pretty socks today?
Mark- I think they just don't understand out little family in here, we are quit the group!!
Very cool, Joe. How does it return to normal odometer mode?
When you cycle the ignition, it switches back. I think. I turned it on to test it, but didn't check it again after I shut the truck down... I guess I'll know tomorrow morning. LMAO!!!
In 17 states the price of diesel averages under 3 bucks, with Oklahoma being the lowest today at 2.78. Yesterday Missouri was the lowest. You notice I am not using the word cheapest, but it's getting down to where it was this time last year. Gas here in Charlotte right now is at 2.22 at Costco.
I'm pi$$ed off because I could've used that batt V thing when my batteries & alt went TU, dammit. LOL.... There is supposedly coolant temp, and a bunch of other parameters there, but I need to see if there's a table or something that says what each one is. I guess my question is why didn't they have that thing show codes?? THAT would be super cool...
The cheapest I have seen gas is $2.49 and I got fuel this weekend for $2.67. I was so suprised it was that low that I took a pic of it with my phone and sent it to a few people.

I just paid $2.99 last week, and I saw gas at $2.08 today. SOBs. There's no excuse for that.
