Thanks Mark.....been fighting a fever all day, hovered around 102* for a little bit, I had to get into the tub to lower it. It still hasn't broken, but it's a little better now
SWEET boat! I've been waterskiing all my life, and wakeboarding for quite awhile too.....love it! I once collapsed my lung doing flips wakeboarding......needless to say, I don't get that aggressive anymore
When I was in my 20's I very nearly drowned in the Colorado River. Swam across to the Az. side with no problem, but returning to Ca. the swim over had drifted me so far downstream and there was nothing but cliffs there and I had no choice but to swim back. The river kept getting wider and wider and I just ran out of gas. Plenty of boats were nearby, but none of them believed I was in trouble. Finally, one did take pity on me and pick me up. That was a close call. I am trying to think of the name of the place we used to go. Kathryn's Landing? That ring a bell with anyone from the area?

Hey Chris (F350-6), Thanks for the reps. Put me up to 5 greenies!!! I actually posted those gauge pics as a response in the DIY High-Idle thread, but it was such a handy thing I figured I'd post it here where *EVERYONE ELSE* will read it. LMAO!!!!
(Chris mentioned in his reps that the gauge thing I brought up here probably didn't belong in the OT, so I figured I'd answer him here)
Sure, why put tech stuff in the tech forum when you can run up your post count in this foolishness?

Thank you Steve, lots of good memories from that place. Used to tow my boat from Hacienda Heights, Ca. at least twice a month during the season. Used to have a ball, a hot one, but a good one. I remember we used to have to foot the bill for any and all guests just to get an observer in order to water ski. They still have that rule?

Mark did you ever make it to Lake Powell in all of your travels? It's the lake of ALL LAKES
I doubt if I would even recognize the place anymore. It would have been in the late 60's and early 70's when we went there. I don't think I-10 was anywheres near there yet. I remember miles of narrow desert roads just getting there. Laughlin was not even a dream yet. Been there a few times though. My in-laws retired in Havasu long before the London Bridge was hauled there by old Sam.

I'll refresh your memory of Lake Powell. It was damned up in 1963, so by late 60's and early 70's Powell was thriving. It finally filled to capacity the first time in 83'....over 500 ft deep in some spots, and 185 miles long, I could be a tour guide I've been there so much
