Did you open the $400 PCM to see if caps were ok, before installing, or after, for that matter, quality isnt the main goal, anymore, with parts, el cheapo is.
No the seller put warranty labels on them and said in description if removed it will void my refund. I'm thinking it's prob the caps with the symptoms and issues its having.
Never had a issue running straight antifreeze in the winters here in Maine I have 2 mustangs that sit in a non heated garage and run same mix in my ford edge and have done this for over 20 yrs. This truck is nothing but a restore project from hell owner before me let it go so needless to say it's been parts replacement since ive bought it 3 yrs ago.

that is illegal
They can only void the warranty if you break something. Opening it cannot void the warranty, this was a big thing this last year or two with the FTC iirc

are you using premix? 100% alcohol antifreeze is NOT good for your engine or your cooling system. You NEED water in the mix , preferably distilled, you can make the mixture like up to 64% antifreeze or something like that according to ford for the most protection, but you CANNOT use full concentrate

I add water once temps get and stay above 40 degrees usually run 50/50.
Yeah but it was stated clearly in the ad if labels were removed that would void any refund. I'm not taking a chance especially at something that cost me $400 I didn't have.
I already ate $200 plus sending my old pcm out with no fix that hurt seeing how Im spending $20 bucks every 3 days if im lucky for gas and I only live 9 miles away from my job. Thats not including all the other work and money I spent so far hoping I would get lucky on part that cost 30- 50 to fix then no possibly $1600 which I def don't have and I still owe a personal loan on this thing because I need a winter vehicle.
Even if I want to sell it Id be screwed because who wants a truck that needs another $1500 dollar part to run correctly.

so what exactly is the issue at this time?
And what kind of coolant are you using? Propylene glycol uses different percentages but ethylne (the stuff your truck calls for)
use distilled water or premix, and fill it 50/50 AND LEAVE IT. You will have -30 degrees protection at least , and occasionally colder, and you will be protecting your cooling system from corrosion and not causing issues from lack of thermal transfer capacity in your coolant

My issue now is needing a pcm again read up some. I could careless what truck calls for antifreeze as I said b4 ive run my antifreeze like this for yrs on end with no issues. The truck is from a rust belt and who knows how old the rad is tbh it's rusted just like everything else but have a all alum to replace it. I just want to know where and which other pcm can I run to solve my drivability issue without throwing more money out the window.
I sent my ecm out to have some traces and caps repaired and 633 code is still in the ecm..
You can not clear a 633 code.
A 633 code is a KOEO code only. It is not a stored code.
DTC 633 indicates the 4x4 Low Selector Lever is not in the 4x2 or 4x4 high position (observed in Key On Engine Off (KOEO) Self-Test). A change in the automatic transmission shift cycle will occur.

Ive replaced the transfer case switch sensor and it works correctly via a pin test at dash and connector of the pcm. I even snipped the #12 wire or #10 that sends the 4x4 signal to the pcm and was no change and code is still there. When I got replacement pcm no codes were there during koer and koeo test the only issue I had with replacement is the loss of power or what felt like a misfire that I didn't have with old pcm.
Then doing tests everything pointed to the new pcm a possible bad cap or traces. Soon as I swapped old pcm back in Truck ran fine again but code 633 still showed.
Can you look up my parts list? Does this info suffice or do I need to go take a picture of the calibration sticker in the door frame?

Without checking mine its either
6-51H-R06, 6-52R-R06"]https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.ford-trucks.com-vbulletin/1133x518/image_f1bb4421e9a5dc84211aaac103f020f2ef53ebb0.png[/img] (mines KKD0) Without checking mine its either 6-51H-R06, 6-52R-R06
I need to know the calibration code you have, examples.
Notice the PCM numbers are different on the two parts list below.

my embed failed. I’ll get you the pcm number or cross ref. I fortunately know the part number because of a chart and knowing my calibration catch code (kod0)
