You are all overlooking the fact that mr cheeto will not do anything in a logical manner. If you say to yourself, _____ doesn't make sense to me, you are trying to apply the way YOU would do something to the way cheeto would do something. No dice. Normally what works for me, if I wanna get inside cheeto's head, is I say to myself, "What is the last thing in the world I'd think about doing if I wanted to get this truck done on a budget and in a reasonably short time period?"
Take those thoughts and filter them through the jew glasses that cheeto wears in all financial dealings, and you are left with: "Leave it partially finished and try to sell it for more than its worth."
Its not his fault.
God made him that way. God has a plan for cheeto and his cummins crew.
I guess youre right. Coming from a guy that bought two trucks and parts to build them ten different ways. Then switch from his safe job to some other bull**** cause it pays more. Buy a new tow rig that you dont need because you dont want to finish one truck loose your job then sell all you **** to pay for the tow rig you didnt really need and never build anything. Makes sense.
bought 2 trucks, parts to build 2 trucks 2 ways, lost my job and parted out most of it and kept one truck and 1 way to build it, a truck that runs and drives and has a nice flatbed and a crane and a sweet stereo. And I have a sweet DD/tow rig. Vs: bought a crew, a reg cab short bed, several frames, an extended frame reg cab, a bronco, another frame, the 2nd one of my trucks, worked on a bunch of crap for 632 years, scrapped everything, and now has one truck that doesn't run well enough to be a tow rig or a DD or an ORV...
So you have a tow rig that you cant pay for to tow a rig thats not built that you cant afford to wheel. The sad fact is that youre on the perfect track to live the american dream. Have you filied for disability yet? Its the next step ya know.
I never sell my projects....I just keep tinkering away...already have 2 drivers that I can use so I can build my trucks with whatever free time and very little free money I have...and it's true...parting out usually gets you more than a whole truck will when trying to sell...I bought my 94 Dodge 3500 4x4 Cummins for $2000.00 and parted out the truck and made $2400.00...I kept the Engine and Trans of course...and still have the dash...door panel...hood hinges...and some other misc. parts left from it...My Cummins was FREE!!!
Youre right, I should probably list my stuff for sale. I'll take $60k for my excursion and $10k for my dent, thats pretty much going price. Oh, and my stuffactually runs and drives.
got some help today to look this thing over and ill be building a trac bar before i drive it anymore. From leaves have a good bit of side to side movement.
Whats everyones opinion on this kit? Get it with the inside frame bracket and the centered axle bracket. Id mount the axle side to the pass side spring plate.
