Tom i just went and looked in a box of misc stuff i had from when i wanted to coil spring the crew and i have the brackets. I just need some heims and tube now.
even better. do the center mount, and spring perch mount. that is the best setup.
also, you want the track bad as close to even with the steering drag link as you can get it.
another thing with the death wobble, it was suggested that putting a shim under the kingpin cap will eliminate it.
i rebuilt the kingpins and put a dual steering stabilizer on instead. it made a world of difference in how the truck handled
Tom i just went and tried those brackets. Looks like if i put it ontop of the spring pad itll be to high. If i weld it right to the axle itll work.
also on the kp shims. The arms i have do the spring delete. There is a set screw and a piece of plate that takes the place of the spring. Just tighten it down and go.
Waste of time with that panhard bar!
I had one and took it off. You should put money into hydro assist. That will fix alot of wondering and make it track straight. Made a big difference for me!
Pretty sure hydro assist isnt going to make my springs stop moving side to side. A stock SD has a trac bracket and thats what my springs are from. Let alone they are 4" lift springs and my shackles are 7" eye to eye.
I am a big believer in trac bars. My ford obviously has to have one b/c of the coil springs, but even at 70 mph (and 4 mpg respectively) it has no shakes. Since I put hydro assist on it, it has only gotten better.
A buddy of mine has the problem with a jeep. We are considering making a trac bar for it in the near future.
75f350 had a panhard or trac bar too, and best I remember his trucks were bad to the bone.

Until he flopped her! Don't think he had a trac bar though
I can't remember if Ed has a track bar on Red or not. I forgot to look when I was at the shop last weekend & stuck my head under her. I'll text him & ask.
*edit*
He doesn't run one on the red truck, but he does on the orange truck since he runs uniballs instead of bushings in the rear of the leafs.
