absolutely right. they say the biggest worry is the CWD getting into the tame animal farms. well, lets see...higher fences, better feed, there's a few other ways to ensure that the farms don't get the CWD...
it's getting colder here. no snow though. damn!

I always thought that it was the other way around that the CWD came from the tame animals. Is it not a form of the mad cow (the spongiform) just in the different species. I personally don't believe that there should be any game farms.

Jack
No channel Jack, we`re back to almost farmer vision for a while..........
As for games farms, I don`t beleive they aren allowed in Alberta.
i don't see the harm in farming elk or deer, or any other wild animal-turned-domestic-farming. i DO have a problem with hunt farms.
never should people be allowed to hunt animals in a fenced compound. there's a couple in this area, big money from some americans who come up and make a big movie scene like they're huge fantastic hunters...in reality it'd be just as well the game was tied to a tree. i agree with Duncan, game/hunt farms shouldn't be allowed.
initially what i meant by game farm was just farming wild origin animals for purpose of harvesting and eating, not a hunt farm.
hey guys,
carl edwards lead most of the race but! jimmie came from the back and still won! the championship, even tho carl edwards won the race! it was a good clean race. and jeff gordon finished 4th. very few cautions and lots of racing! thats what i like! just let em' run! that was cool! to get to see it!
jimmie made history to!
Now thats the way to go hunting not in a fenced in compound.
I still do have a problem maybe not with the game farms but with the selling of the breeding stock to other people. It had to be the biggest scam I have ever seen or heard of. No I didn't get taken. Joe Elk farmer sells in a sale to Fred elk farmer, a bull that sells for $25,000. Then Fred Elk farmer sells Joe Elk farmer a bull for $25,000. Then all the other wanna be Elk farmers have to buy in at $25,000 when the bull isn't worth anywhere near that.
It has always been the same with any exotics.
Llammas were like that a lot of years ago. Khatadin sheep were the same you had to get approval to sell from the board who controlled the prices.
Total BS
