thanks prep, it was a great day for hunting, and a great hunt for the season. all tags filled, clean kills and nice animals. here's some pics of my buck and my FIL's buck. taken with my phone, but we got some better ones when we got home. i think i'll get my buck mounted this year...
if i thought my wife would have held me back from hunting, i never would have married her. i have a harder time getting her to stay home when i do things like this. yesterday wasn't too bad though, she was going to the city shopping anyway.
i haven't scored him yet, but i probably will. the FIL's isn't worth scoring really, maybe neither is mine, but it has got decent height and width.
We have a "smoker" where you can bring in your head for measureing, this is the wildlife federation. Its a fun night. My little girl went to her first one when she was 10 days old or so. Must be a reason her middle name is Hunter.

I guess if I insisted on going hunting it wouldnt be a huge problem. I was always into it, but never a complete die hard that it was my life or anything!
Now if she told me to go buy a chevy truck, or told me to quit working on my old fords, she might get a rude awakening!
I keep telling her that my good ol 89 ford has been around longer then she has, more reliable, and doesnt talk back, so Im never gonna get rid of it!!
Ya it is kind of different for a girl she can just put J Hunter on her office when she gets older no one will know if she a girl or guy could be good or she might not like me for it
no prep,
and she won't let me do it either. we have deer that cross the road in front of our house. they on occasion cross bluff rd. last year we had a fawn bed down in my front yard. usually late at night or really early in the morning. then go back behind my house to my neighbors yard and feed on blackberrys and whatnot. my neighbors grand son wanted me to go. i don't have a rifle anyway.
the last one i had, i had to leave back in nebraska. so i buried it in my ex's house. ha!! she'll never find it! she'd have to tear the house down to find it!!!
a rare smith and wesson double barrel 12 gauge pump. short barrel shot gun. out of a police cruiser. and my wife says no.
