I ran all the wires to the rear today but haven't installed the tail lights yet, waiting to put the fenders on first..but they still need wet sanding and polishing..
also ran all the wires for the motor and front end..
My son's truck, Morris, is a 2016 model. I worry about them a lot less on these winter roads now they are driving such a capable vehicle. He was driving it around a bit in the snow when they were home and with the 4x4 it felt like it would take a lot to get it stuck. We live a little ways north of the Moose Mountains towards Moosomin.
Got my security system ordered last night and it should be here by the 10th, cameras are good for -40 and I can still add 2 more cameras for indoor use.
Windy here today, sucked the air out of me in 2 blocks, the sacrifices I make for cat food
Sounds like a good security system, what`s the price and where from? Perry
It`s a bit windy here but not too bad since it`s -1°C.
That reminds me that I forgot to get more dog food for the little guy, we`re still good for another 4-5 days.
I went with a EZVIZ system as it was designed more for the north American market than most of the systems available. It can be found at Home Depot but I went online through Best Buy as it was 400 on sale til the 29th and also picked up a new router for it. Home Depot has it on sale for 486, spent about a month chasing down specs, reviews and manufacturer to get what I thought would be the best system for my low budget. Will be giving up camera sweep area and zoom but can make it up with camera placement. Wanted a camera that won't die at -10 yet is rated for -30. They'll be hidden inside the eaves and I have some 4" pvc so they may get sleeved. My eaves have weird vents cut into them so the cameras should be able to get hidden. Will put the sticker on the kitchen window so that its visible but hard to notice. Upside-down will be the order of the day. LOL
My boxing day shopping spree was pretty short, now I'm playing hurry up and wait, got the shipping verification and the tracking # should be active tomorrow.
I hope so Morris, spent a lot of time eliminating systems, got the shipping notice for the router so now I have to wait. Still have a monitor to buy and maybe some cables. Hope I catch my problem in a relatively short time, will be able to watch him on my phone while hunting it down. Might make him famous
I like your idea.
So far I`ve been lucky, nobody has messed with my stuff. A few years ago there were a few break ins a long this road but any home that had dogs weren`t bothered.
Theres a number of us in this area that getting targeted and its time we get together and work on getting rid of this problem. Up until very recently we've been thinking we're alone in this, but now we're starting to find out about each other and the stories, situations and CPS response are almost identicle. By the end of January we'll be a group working together with a basic plan, this is our neighborhood, it doesn't belong to a select group of junkies protected by cops.
