It's only been 12 days since I ordered these parts.
They better not get caught up in the xmas rush, 1 chimney goes to the upstairs fireplace and the other goes to the furnace.
Happy Saturday all. Spent a couple days lookin after my brother. mom was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Palliative care is involved, and she may not make it home for Christmas. Kalan broke his hand in a game 1 week ago, and still is in a cast. He will attempt the skills comp for his hockey league. I don't expect him to win any shooting skills with a cast, but should kick @ss for the skating. he has probably one of the best shot's in the league. He's wearing his mother's bigger hockey gloves ( Dawn Has been a coach ) I will update later this aft. Stay warm my friend's. Have a great day.
Sorry to hear about your Mom Grant, thats awful, prayers sent
sorry to hear about Kalan too but I know he'll be OK
good on Dawn for coaching ............ good luck with everything there
Good morning everyone! Off to a Christmas party at the rink, pancake breakfast, bake sale, hayride and many other activities and then cap it off with Matthew's hockey game. He is playing goal today so he is excited a little more than usual.
Hi everyone! Hope everyone can stay warm enough in this weather. Sure doesn't feel like global warming is very real out there now. We have been feeding the horses a bit extra to get through the cold spell. Hope you can miss that snow Morris, pushing that stuff into piles is a bit of a pain. Sorry that your Mom is ill Grant. We will send prayers. Good luck to Matthew in his game Colin, sounds like a fun day in Rouleau. Hello again to everyone else, stay warm and safe!
Good day folks, a bit warmer so a nice day here.
That sounds like another full day Colin, let us know how Matthew's game goes. Do the kids take turns at playing goal?
Hi Reg, good to hear from you. If we don't get snow I won`t miss it tho I'll take snow over bitter cold. You stay warm, have a safe holiday.
It is starting to get a bit warmer here too, as long as the wind stays down it`ll be nice for Christmas.
Our pay it forward event made the CBC news, Jamie Lee the girl they interviewed was on my crew. It was her first time out and was really enthusiastic about it so they picked a good one. It helped that she was a babe. Lol
Kind of but from the pictures and lack of activity we're different.
No dance parties or taking credit for Habitat for Humanity projects.
We did 2 prior events during better weather where we observed people that needed maintenance done to their properties like lawn cleanup, gate, step repairs and things like that and we did that while other crews passed out community service brochures and gift cards for the 4 main grocery stores and hair salons and one drive we also had fresh veggies from the farmers market that we gave to those we knew were needy. Bit of work because you need to know the people that need help and it's hard to get people to walk through the hood and observe potential candidates and knock on the door to say hi and qualify them. Rental properties don't qualify for repairs and junkies don't qualify for assisstance.
This was our 3rd event and the first where we did open solicitation and handed out gifts to the general public, it'll happen again next year but it'll hopefully not be quite the same as it as this year. Am hoping it will be more geared to the needy like single mothers and seniors, still a good program and am glad that I participated. This is a 4 times a year gig as it takes a bit of time to setup.
Unless it's put on by a school or organizations like the Sunrise Community Link, these things quite often become one shot deals so that those involved can end it with a party and congratulate themselves.
