Now the long range forecast is for a warming trend a few days before Christmas, certainly hope that holds true.

Our long range is all over the place temperature wise and changes dramatically every 12 hours, but the common theme is that it warms up this week and might be warm enough to put the transmission into the truck christmas week

It sounds like you are having our Sk winter, usually it's a lot warmer in Alberta than here.

It's always worse in Edmonton but Calgary gets the attention as cowboys cry louder. We get a week of cold followed by a week of transistion, then a chinook. Happens like this all the time, this year we got our first cold snap a month earlier than normal, happened a few years ago and is the 3rd or 4th time it's happened since I moved here in 2002. I was putting down sod one year on December 21st and have poured a pad or 3 in the second week of December.

Wasn't last winter one of your warmest on record?

I`m not sure if it was the warmest or one of the warmest, at any rate it was pretty nice compared to this winter.

That is a bit of consolation but the older I get the more I hate winter! It`s a terrible waste of 5 months of the year.

There were a few things I was interested in the Princess Auto sale ending today but I didn`t feel like going in this cold weather. Likely it'll be on sale again fairly soon.
