Evening boys. That deer was grilled to perfection... Too bad it was on the bumper lol. I have some pics on my phone that I will put on here eventually. I have an appointment with the adjuster on Friday... Chances are the truck will be a total loss. I get first dibs on buying it back, but I'm not sure if I want to. With having to go through all the safety's all over again, it may cost me way more than its worth. I know it needs tires right now, not to mention the brakes are feeling like they're needing attention and the front end will no doubt be an issue. I think I may be better off letting it go and watching for another deal.
If I can get enough in the settlement, I've got my heart set on finding a sweet 80-96 F series 4x4.
My dad is getting discharged and heading home tomorrow.
Today the wind was from the south instead of the north like yesterday where the forest fires are John.
Good luck either way Sherm, either getting your truck fixed or finding a new toy.
Say hi to your dad from all of us here.
So is it like a loss of power Curtis?

Yes. Has that injector out miss from exhaust with a shake at idle. Funny thing is when I cold start in morning it purrs like a kitten. As she warms up the miss gets worse. I've had a friend out, diesel mechanic but he's stumped now too. Been a pita. But on the flip side, I got into my own engine and rebuild 7 of the inj myself. Scary but now that have it back together and she fired I'm amazed I actually did it!! After all the trouble shooting with ficms and inj wire harnesses ect I had to take a break today. Frustrating to have it run with the exact same problem I had on the way home from work that spawned all the work. Scan indicated only one inj out. #6. Rebuild kits were 15 bucks so I did 7 and bought 1. Figured while I'm in there lol. Was a lot of work and being first time ever into a diesel I'm comfortable with the knowledge I've gained being hands on with her now.
Happy Thursday mornin'all. I'm on vacation next week. Time to do some work on the 56. I bought all my rear brake parts from Rock Auto. Shoes, drums, all the hardware, park brake cables, and park brake hardware. It was cheaper than buying 2 brake drums here. Sherm glad to hear your dad's doin good. Good luck with your pickup. Hope everything works out. Curtis; If it's a cylinder problem, you can isolate it using an infrared temp gauge on the exhaust manifold's. Hope you see some rain soon Morris. Mornin' John. Have a great day guy's.
