Nice to hear your truck is running much better, here's hopping that Ranger comes your way Curtis. I had 4-5 of them and still miss having one.
Good that you have a generator Sherm, going without morning coffee really bites!
Morning Gerry.
What are you using for a forward tilt mechanism John?
Send some rain our way GRant, we`re still very dry and the forest fires still going strong.
I'm just copying the one I have in my panel which is the one CPP makes and Midfifty sells as the MMB. I have about half of it made so far.

How much work is it to make copies of the tilt hood hardware John?
We only got a little shower this afternoon, just enough rain to keep my 53 M100 in it`s garage.
Around here I`d sooner go for a cool swim rather than sit in a hot tub Grant.

The tilt parts were easy enough to copy and didn't cost me anything as far as material goes, I get crates from 4 wheelers which provide plenty of good clean tubing as well as pieces of 1/8" plate steel depending on which type of crate. I need to find some 3/8" stainless steel rod for the hold downs at the rear of the hood or purchase some soon. All in all though not to hard Morris.
I also copied and made a hanging brake pedal as well, only thing spent was my time.

I'll have to draw them up Morris, are you talking just the forward tilt hood or both?

Thanks John, it can wait till you get here, if you are still coming this way next month. there is no hurry as I've got a lot of work ahead of me before I ever get to that stage.
I`m not sure which way to go, what do you recommend for a beginner?

I used to think that I had a lot of free time these days Gerry but it evaporates pretty quickly and this summer is flying by pretty fast.

Drive east...lol How's the smoke out that way now? The wife says she doesn't feel good about the trip now, she said she heard on the news that those fires might be burning until it snows.
