Wow. Nice job!!!
At my garage repair job in river heights, in the back ally stuffed between a garage and fence was a nice lil 50's era Ford truck. I just may knock on the door!! Next time there, he owns a restaurant and we plan on getting families together, I'll snap a pick and see if he/she answers the door.

Update on AC clutch. The one sold to me, didn't notice until trying to get belt back on, was 1/2" larger in diameter. Tested and still have a real bad bearing chirp. I've done tensioner and idler on pass side. Seems like it's coming from pass side but when under truck it's in centre of motor. Crank ballencer or water pump. Read online and saw a vid with exact same sound and ended up being power steering pump. If I wasn't so cheap is just take it to a shop but I love turning my own wrenches.
Going to head out and TRY and get belt off. Was so tight to get back on I don't think that's a smart thing to leave like that. Plus tensioner is about an inch away from balancer. Why, when ya buy parts there's always issues with what they sell ya

Anyho, have a great Sunday everyone!! Gotta zip to city today to meet customer and then drop lambchops off at camp!!!

Happy Sunday mornin'all. Last day of vacation. Gerry; No beer. July 3rd was 1 yr since i quit, and don't miss it at all. I keep beer in the fridge for company. Absolutely no hard liquor. ( no temptation ) I'm off again in 3-4 weeks. I'll put the engine/trans in then. Curtis; have you used a stethoscope to isolate the noise? I have one if you need. Randy; Shoot us some pic's of your truck when you're done. As per torque. The torque spec's should be somewhere on line, or phone a Ford Dealer. I did over 20 yrs as a licenced auto tech. I very rarely ever used torque spec's. (my bad!) When I did Dawn's rear wheel brg on the edge, I torqued the critical stuff. I found the spec's easiliy on line. Have a great day guy's.

Grant.... I feel like a doh doh. Used water in a spray bottle. Instant gone. Napa belt if off, my old spare is on. No squeak. I did however find a lot of play in steering box. Back and forth and up and down.
All good tho, better to be proactive than reactive.

Off to city to drop lambchops at camp.

A bit sad around here since I sold my L8000 a few days ago, I`ve had it since 1999 but it`s time to down size now. I haven`t really used it in the last 3-4 yrs and it`ll free up some valuable inside storage space. I`m keeping my black L8000 for a while yet.
Congratulations on your one yr anniversary Grant, now if I could just do the same with the smoking bit.

Morning boys. Hope everyone had a great weekend!! I picked up my 2 sisters on saturday, they're here from the far east for a couple weeks.

Good work on the truck Grant, and even better work on the lack of booze for a year. I haven't had a drink since Jan 1 this year. I don't think I had an addiction problem, but definitely feel better without it.

Morris, you'll be buying 3 more sweet rides right away...with all that space from the missing D-truck

Make sure and post some progress pics on that lift install Randy!! Something I never got around to doing on my F350 before I traded it off.

I'm planning on picking up a 1990 F250 this week, that will get some attention from aftermarket folks... I'm thinking 4" suspension lift, 35" rubber. The cab appears to be in real good shape, while the box has a little rust. I'm not sure whether to cover it with flares, put new box skins on it, or remove the box and put a flat deck on there. 1990 f250 4x4 351 engine | used cars & trucks | Saskatoon | Kijiji The truck I'll be picking up unless someone beats me to it...

Haven't made a work decision yet Gerry. Had a discussion with the boss last week after his painter exploded on me for no reason. He's a hot headed idiot, holier than thou, and has torn a strip off another supervisor in the same fashion and I had an outing with him once before. Told the boss that I didn't come on board to deal with that guys schniznit, but to eliminate some headaches and stress of self employment. Told him I feel that its actually went the other way but I don't get paid enough to compensate. Blah, blah, blah...lol. Basically told him that there are 3 strikes, next time I'm done. I will return to self employment. It will likely be an ugly departure as the other supervisor is feeling very strongly about joining me. I don't like to burn bridges and create poor relationships, but not going to live in mental misery over a job.

Have a great day guys!!!

Sherm; go the Bushwhacker way with that truck if you get it. It looks like you were meant to be self employed. Good luck. Curtis; Drop by the shop for a coffee and a smoke. Have a great day guy's

Great looking truck on kijiji.

If my daily GM driver goes, I think I'll be headed for something similar!

Broke a couple of bolts off in my water pump... looks like I need more tools

Hello everyoneI ended up going to that car show after all, the sun came out and we thought we'd take a chance and glad we did. We could see storms off in the distance and seemed to be riding it's tail all the way there. The forecast some how changed once we got there, funny. There were 113 registered cars and trucks total. We got a trophy for traveling the longest distance and $50 to help with gas and I also got a plaque for the participants choice award, all kind of nice considering all the beautiful vehicles that were there.
