Happy Hump Day mornin'all. Boy 1/2 way thru my holiday's. Sherm it looks like SGI want's the bodyshop to fix it on contract. Most shops won't do it , because if their cost's exceed the agreed price, the shop has to eat it. It's only really benificial to dealership's, due to part accesibility. John; Is it an LMC kit? The PO of my truck bought one, and said everything fit very nice. Have a great day guy's.

I believe it's the continuation of the Rod Doors brand the Midfifty sells, I think they bought the molds. Do you have all you interior panels for yours Grant?

Evening boys. Truck is toast, a total loss. Frame brackets where the bumper mounts were bent so that pushed it well past the limit. Hopefully I get a fair payout from SGI so I can find a decent replacement.

Have a great evening everyone!!

My 02 F150 is sitting at the Ford body shop awaiting its demise. SGI allowed $4600 max to fix, but wants a guaranteed estimate in writing from the shop. Body shop manager said in order for them to do that, they have to dismantle it and make a list of everything right down to the last drip of water it'll take to get it fixed. He doesn't think its possible to get it done for that so will probably be a total loss. I've found a sweet '90 F250 that I would really like to pick up, so crossing my fingers. Manager said if they're allowing $4600 max to repair, they're probably paying out around 7g for a settlement.

Hope everyone is having great summer days!!
Bummer Sherm, hope it works out for you..

Good evening folks, finally it`s cooled down here just a bit and I can breath again.
What`s new in Ont Gerry?
Like us know how the ABS interior panels and insulation and sound deadening turn out John, I`m thinking of doing the same..... if I ever get that far.
Sounds like you are getting the hang of working on your truck Curtis.
With your truck a total loss will you you have to hitch hike back home Sherm?

Checkin in late. John; I don't have any interior panel's. That will be far down the list for me. I replaced the front cab mounts, and installed the drag link rebuild kit. I went to bleed the brakes and have 3 leaks; One caliper to hose washer (speedway disc brake kit) poor excuse for washer's. I'll get 4 new ones tomorrow. The brake pressure switch (new) Gettin rid of that, and use a mechanical pedal switch, and one poor flare (my fault). Gerry; I can't slow down time, but as a wise man once said, "Get up early and go to bed late. Your day will be longer." Sherm; Hope all goes well with your settlement. Morris: hope you get some of our weather. Rain all day tomorrow, and cooler temp's on the way (25C). At 2pm 37C with the humidex. Jordan was in the hot tub tonight and had it at 102F (what a Bedoink!) I usually have it set for 96F. That's refreshing on day's like today. If he keeps it up, I'm charging him for hydro. I guess that's a wrap. Have a great night all.

Morning boys. I would like to get more than I paid for the truck also, but I doubt that will happen. A little depreciation is to be expected I guess, plus the $700 deductible comes out of the payment. I've been driving the company truck home since mine went to the shop. Funny thing is now the boss doesn't want me taking it home because of the extra mileage. I had to remind him that part of our agreement was a company truck as a take home benefit. A few other things are heading south with our agreement, I may not put up with it much longer.

Hot tub in the heat Grant??? Holy crow I would be a pool of DNA on the ground. It would sure feel great in the winter though!!

Have a great day guys!!

Happy Thursday mornin'all. Raining right now. Going to go out to the garage soon. Sherm; Great job on reminding your boss of pre employment agreement's. I was always a strong believer in reminder's. I've seen guy's severely taken advantage of, when they don't say anything. I quit a job because of false promises. A year later the ownership group wanted me back. I had a sit down with the 3 owner's, not just the 1. Got everthing settled, and evrything was great. I quit 6 month's later to work for my brother. That was a very hard decision. Sometimes I still think, if I did the right thing. Have a great day guy's.

G'day gents.

Bummer Sherm, I hope things pan out for ya bud!!!

I'm getting there Morris. Fellow racing buddy is gonna borrow my truck for a day and scan with the Ford ids. Complete analysis in much greater detail than AutoEnginuity. Just to cross any bottom end or valve "T's" and dot a few "I's".
With proper maintenance 6.0's will last n last.

Was crazy hot out last 2 days. Redoing an exterior on a garage. Dripping steady for 10 hours a day.

Sherm might appreciate this.... The amount of fixing to do after another contractor built the garage is absolutely insulting for little companies like mine. What do you see wrong here. Keep in mind, this is 1 of probably 30 pics I've taken thus far.

Morning boys!! Thunder storms just keep rolling through. Another one last night but it stayed pretty dry.

SGI came up with less than I would like for a settlement, but I don't disagree with their values. They also give a list of their researched vehicles and how they found their value. I don't think I will argue it...not much point really. The only way to win is if I could produce a pile of receipts showing that I had spent a bunch of money in it over the past year. I didn't, and I'm not a fraud.

If there's something I will not tolerate is being taken advantage of. My hair only likes getting rubbed one way. I also won't tolerate someone else get taken advantage of. If things don't straighten themselves out soon, I'll be moving on, or perhaps moving backwards to self employment once again.

Cool weekend coming up, monster truck show tonight and tomorrow night, we have tickets for tonight, but I'm tempted to go tomorrow also. The drags are on Sunday, and I think tonight is cruise night also. Other than the monster trucks, I'll probably hang out at home, do some fencing and maybe butcher some chickens.

Have a great day guys, and an awesome weekend!!!
