Good evening to all that lurk here.
If I ever come across a decent set of rear fenders I`ll pass it on to you John but most of the time it's fronts and even those are hard to find.
I got my driveshaft shortened complete with new u joints installed for only $270 taxes in so I`m happy about that too, another machine shop started their quote at $420....
Back to work today I guess, all is feeling a-ok. Could really get used to sleeping in and having a leisurely schedule. Time to buy a winning lottery ticket, or some sort of a career change.
Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great day everyone!!
Happy Hump Day mornin'all. In practice last night Kalan got a pop fly in the head. He's got a little lump, and seam marks on his forehead. We have our championship game tonight. I hope he feels like playing. He's our #1 catcher. Our #2 catcher fell down the stairs yesterday morning and is out for tonight. Glad the clan's feeling better Sherm. Have a great day guy's.

Good price on the shaft Morris, I paid over $600 for the one in my panel. I just picked up a shaft from a 98 F150 that was at the dump and will have it shortened to fit this pickup so should be a little cheaper.
I'm going to attempt to shorten my own. I watched a couple You Tube video's. A friend of mine has done quite a few, and says out of the 10 or so he's done only 2 needed balancing.

The one I just picked up is aluminum and I'm not able to weld it myself. If it were steel I'd do it myself.
Good day folks.
Was your panel driveshaft aluminum John?
I didn`t realise that most don`t need to be balanced when shortened Grant.
I was talking to my friend about balancing, and he said; As short as my driveshaft will be, there is probably no need to balance it. If it vibrates, I'll take it off and send it out. I believe it's about $70.00 just to balance. ( I somehow have that figure in my head ).
