me and the missus enjoyed the day as well... conquered Duck Mountain Ski hill... not too bad of a hill, all natural snow, decent runs, but they need to comb them more often...
My missus has started her busy season, so I was on my own this warm weekend, but I enjoyd checking out some vehicels, and doing some guy stuff in the warm weather.
I got into snowboarding a little bit, then kinda just let it go. Havent boarded in awhile now, must be around 5 or 6 years! I dont have time for that fun ski slope stuff anymore unfortunately!
i snowboarded a lot back home. we had an actual mountain too... i only went once or twice since i moved out west, this year i decided to get back into it again. going to table mountain next weekend with the BIL...
I grew up right close to wapati valley ski hill, so I was fortunate enough to go often when I was young too. Its not a huge mountain out there, but its a decent little hill.
Thats cool ya decided to get back into it too. What do you have for a board and bindings? What stance do you ride?
Nice board, Ive always liked rossi stuff. I went to a seminar they put on once, and they are a great company to deal with too.
Last board I had was a cheapy firefly, with a real kickass set of aluminum bindings on them, but by the life of me i cant think of the name of the bindings. The bindings I had were worth more then the board haha. That board I got for free though, customer left it for me to do some repairs on, and never came back!
i had a D23 a couple of years ago... cheap board sold by sportmart and such... it totally sucked to the point of not wanting to ever board again. the rossi is a great board, awesome response and yesterday at Duck, i got into some powder and find that its pretty good there too. i'd like to take momma out to sunshine some time next winter for some real 'boarding...
there are plenty of skiing down this way mt.hood has a few ski resorts. in 6 years that i've been i have never done it. of course i snow ski like john candy water skies not good!
all over the place and out of control!
